Pop onto YouTube and see if you can find some reviews of the tank you have. It’s a great place to pick up tips and see if you’re doing things correctly when you’re starting off. There’s literally everything you could need on there.

A guy on youtube says it's to do with the internal airflow and flavour altough he said it didn't make much difference and he said it might be to catch any spit backs so I just whacked one in, thanks again.

As long as it's not spitting up into your mouth it's likely just the juice cooking on the coil, sometimes it can pop and crackle a bit, you can try it giving it some short and hard puffs at a higher wattage to help clear any excess juice build up, that might help, just be careful not to do slow long draws at higher watts and frying your coil. You can also try closing the air off, (without firing the mod) blowing or sucking into it. Or just wait it out and keep using, it'll likely clear itself up.

Inserts are a bit odd.

I think it was vaporesso who done a similar thing but they where built into the coils.
