TC - am I missing something?

Hey guys

So I picked up my first TC mod the other day, a RX200 and a Crown tank to go with it. I've loved both so far.

So tonight I decided to stick the Ni coil in the crown and give TC a go. Reading the reviews I thought I would be in for a world of flavour, but it's just not there. My Atlantis on a Cloupor T5 produces masses more, never mind the .25ohm at 80 watts in the Crown on the RX.

So what temps should I aim for? I've tried between 200 and 250 degrees centigrade and while it gets better the hotter it is, it's not the revolution in flavour I thought it would be. I've currently got some Lost Fog Streek in the tank and I can barely taste anything. Same with a home made flavour art vanilla custard. At 285 it tastes ok, but nothing on the .25 coil and I thought that was too high?

Thanks in advance!

Ross

Cold, weak, not much vapour? - probably a wicking issue, try poking the wick with a pin to loosen it up a bit. If theres not enough juice flow then the coils heats up too fast and can't transfer the heat into the juice to create vapour so you get a cool weak vape with not much flavour - it's also how you know you're juice is running out - same thing happens...

Gave that a go but it's the same (and the same style non TC coils in the Crown work a treat).

Between 260 and 275 it's a lovely vape with plenty of flavour. However the review on here of the Crown suggested 210 was the sweet spot. At 210 there's literally zero flavour and poor vape production. I am wondering if it could be a calibration issue with my device?

Amazingly enough I was wondering the same thing only mine crown is on the R80 :) Nope wait a minute, just cracked it. On the R80 where you choose the type of wire (Nickel) you can also set for SC or DC (I'm guessing Single or Dual coil) As soon as I set that to Dual Coil there was a world of difference :) 210 Degrees and working well now. I think before it was taking too long to ramp up :)

Interesting. I've been playing around with it today. With Sleek at 260 it really brings out the yoghourt. At 270-280 it's a lovely strawberry flavour with a hint of yoghurt. With I Love Doughnuts, different temps, all quite high bring out a variety of flavours.

Perhaps because it's a dual coil it just needs more oomph?
