Hi all new to vaping , been vaping for about 2 months just got a coolfire 4 TC 100 and a Gimlin mini rta with a single ss 0.6 ohm coil , if I use it watts mode I found I only need 10Watts to give me the flavour and throat hit that I like , I tried in TC mode at it lowest settings 25Watts / 300F and it way to hot is it that I am not ready to use TC mode or am I doing something wrong :soupset:

Yeah, you're doing something wrong. :D It should barely be producing vapour at all at those settings. Did you mean a Goblin mini RTA? I've not heard of a Gimlin mini and neither has Google. Have you set the mod to SS rather than titanium or nickel?

I'm afraid I haven't got that set up so I can't be specific. But 300f seems very low. Have you locked the ohms on your coil? I normally start at about 30 watts & 230C which mr google tells me is 446F.

yes it is a Goblin mini typo sorry , and yes it was set to SS

300f is pretty cold - did you make sure that the device was set for ss316 and that the atomiser was cold when you attached it - if you put a hot atty on when starting TC you'll throw out the resuistance reading and get false temperature settings (Usually the resistance reads too high and makes everything run hotter than it should),

don't think I can lock the ohms for my coil as i said new to this

yes to both , using 26AWG SS 316L

Hi just tried your settings a lot better but still a little warm for me , and I get a lot of spitting from the coil , maybe I need more time in wattage mode .

With temp control there is a bit of a learning curve & TBH I mostly use wattage mode myself now. The spitting can happen at first with TC then it settles down once you've had a few vapes.

I think I will stay with wattage mode for now and give TC mode a go later thanks for the reply
