Hi all

Have I set this up wrong? For some reason dessert flavours really taste rank on this but fine on sub-ohm tank

Vaporesso mod, Tengu RDA, 0.10ohm reading. Tastes off on all wattage, N80 fused clapton coil 2-in-1
tried different coils from the pack also..

Looks like i've set it up fine, no?

Vaping on Wonutz Apple Strudel Glazed eliquid, really lovely ejuice on subohm

Mind you all the flavours that seem to work OK with this RDA so far are the fruit ones which are usually 10ml 50/50, ones I have. Could this be it?

Tbh bud I'd probably not be able to taste any flavour with a 0.10 build.

How would it be possible to increase ohm? They are prebuilt coils

0.35 and 0.4 ohm each. I wonder if i've set them up wrong or something, but you can see from my origina photo i think I done it right

0.35 paired should read 0.17ish and 0.40 paired should read 0.20.
Essentially halved.
Strip them out and build it again cos theres something wrong.

Get your coil legs trimmed much tighter to the RDA post, can only see one and it's too long, but if there's more of them like that it could be knocking things off if it's touching the opposite coil. As mentioned above, you half the resistance with dual coils so it should read 0.17-0.2 depending on the coils you're using. And finally, did you dry burn the coils to bed them in before wicking? It doesn't look like you did judging by the colour of the coils - Ni80 will always read low when first installed and need to be dry burned/bedded in which will bring the resistance up to their correct rating - pull the wicks outs, trim the legs, dry burn on a lower wattage, strum the coils with tweezers/small screwdriver (not when you're heating them, only when you're not pressing the fire button!) until both coils heat from the centre out and both sides fire equally at the same time (if you're having a difference between the coils heating at the same time trying re-tightening the coils - make sure your coils are inserted an equal distance from the posts to help with even firing)
That should sort it out [emoji106]

It looks like those coils are almost touching your deck. It's hard to see exactly how close those coils are but they do look too close. Take the advice above but push those coils over closer to the post

The something wrong could be touching wraps on the top left hand side of photo.
That would reduce the resistance and make them heat unevenly.

I agree the coils are too far from the posts and too close to the atty.

That top wire sticking out from the post should be cut closer. It is not going to affect the vape but having unnecessary bits of wire sticking into the deck makes me uncomfortable, in case it connects with something it should not.

Apart from the build not being great usually flavour problems are sorted by adjusting the coils in relation to the air flow.
