I've never heard of a soldering issue on the alien. And the paint issues are long gone. Haven't seen a mod purchased in the last few months that had paint issues. Also the battlestar is a great option as well

I'm on my second alien . The first all the paint came off and the 510 detached from the mod. The 2nd replacement the up button hardly works I would not buy a smok mod again.

Gotta say that odd. I have 2 aliens. About 60 mods total and out of the non premium brands id say the smok are in general the best built. Much better then the wismec, joyetech, eleaf, kanger, and to a point the ijoy.

If your looking for something built like a tank that's cheap and performs awesome it's hard to top the battlestar. For under 40 bucks I've never seen or heard of a dead one. I have 2 of those as well and they look as new as when I got them. But then again most of my mods do. I guess I just got lucky lol. The only issues I had was a bad vt133 I returned, ijoy rdta box screen died, smok rdta box leaks, and Hedron 510 pin broke. 4 issues out of 60 or so mods isn't too bad. Nothing is 100% lol.

@jock1092 I was actually looking at the Vamp Vapes sales and liked the look of the one you suggested.
@anthonyb Someone recommended me to try the GX350 although I was really close to buying the Smok Alien, however I heard it has some soldering issues and was recommended the G-Priv instead.

With the GX350, some people have reported a problem with the connection pin in the battery door falling out. Not had that yet with mine, but only had it just over a week. The mod itself I like, but the battery door is a f..ker to open when the batteries are in. If that is the same for all of them, then that might be what causes the pin problem.

Have u tried the tfv8?? Imo is not a nice vape and coils at £5 a pop

Wouldn't be without me TFV8, the rebuildable coil that came with it only costs 20p to recoil with the Demon Killer pre-made coils.
