They had another piece this morning on ecigs on the back of a statement that 20% of young US smokers used ecigs first and then switched to tobacco (something I maintain is either fudged statistics or utter bullshit). The debate questioned the ban on vaping indoors as well as normalising smoking and I have to say that it was pretty much a whitewash of support from the panel, Mr Wright himself and the callers.
No-one was able to challenge the 20% statistic though which was a real shame and I think had we had any counter stats offered it would have made a big difference too. A few of the panel did mention that loads of their friends use them and they have never seen a 'young person' using one.
All in all a very positive piece and not just another attempt to jump on the ecigs should be banned bandwagon
