Hello,

I am new to RDA's and got myself a Wasp nano as I had heard it was a good starting place. I got myself a set of the Timesetle mixed coils

My question is, the 'legs' of the coils both face in the same direction whereas the posts on the Wasp face in opposite directions meaning I will either have to add an extra turn or unwind it. Will this have a big impact on the resistance? also I have seen people putting spaces in the turns, I assume this is to increase surface area. If so would you recommend this? Any other tips are most welcome.

Thanks

Spaced coils will be easier to start of as they wont need strumming to get any hotspots out.
adding or removing half a wrap wont change the resistance alot.
i think the way id try first is removing half wrap on the higher resistance coils and adding half for the lower resistance ones. So long as it dont make the coils to big or small, 4 wraps minimum.

Thanks I will give it a go. Any tips of suggested ohms and power to try?

Also how do you know how cotton much to use. My first go it felt a little dense and I was worried this would affect the wicking.

So you need to get a rod ie a screwdriver that will fit inside the coil. Then just wrap one leg round half a turn. Voila one coil with legs facing the oposite direction. Spacing coils is mainly done when you wrap ss coils. For more surface area use ribbon wire. I have 3 Wasp nano's all with flatwire coils. you can also use a 510 drip tip on a wasp.

what wire you using. I advise from there. Cotton depends on the coils innner diameter but easiest is thread cotton and pull through. as long as it is almost tight but still moves all should be good. now cut the cotton so it is touching the deck floor this will help to maintain plenty of liquid in the wicks. The idea is to keep the wicks wet by allowing them to soak up so if your wick is being strangled by the coil you will get a dry hit.

I would agree with the above.
Also it looks like those are Kanthal which are going to take an age to heat up.
