TPA sweetener alternative?

I have a face like a cats bum too but that is from having a mess around with a tobacco, a cream and a fruit that is oddly vapeable and yet not at the same time :)

... erm ... one for the e-liquid challenge then? :D

Joking aside, mixing good flavours is a real science :)

:D I'm not sure it's bad enough for the eliquid challenge, to be honest I am even confused if I like or dislike it myself lol.

Tobacco seems to be my falling down, I can mix up fairly straight tobacco's but as I don't really like the taste I struggle to do anything further than that. Fruits I go nuts for and find relatively simple - it's just a case of working the ratios and then additives for balance

am i right in saying though that EM is in a strict sense not really a sweetner? but because of the sweet properties of it many people use it as an alternative and it has a sugary caramelized flavour ? ive got TPA sweetner here too, plus i find Honey is a good one to experiment with especially for chocolate and custard type juices.
I tend to use the stevia very sparingly and prefer to mix blends where one has a natural sweetness already

EM on its own has a flavour very similar to candy floss
in fact the straight candy floss e-liquid you can get is often just em flavoured

Yup, what he said :) EM can be used to sweeten a mix to a certain degree but I find it more useful as a finishing touch rather than an outright sweetener, it can take the edge of some harsh flavours so is pretty useful to have.

I was joking about the challenge :D

I'm also not a tobacco flavour lover - I really need to try a couple of the premium ones to see if I can be convinced ...

Phantom Diablo, I believe you are correct about EM in that it's more of a flavouring (i.e. it's sold as candyfloss by a couple of flavour companies)

Hmm, honey, that could be interesting, but infuriating as I love honey, but the flavour varies so much per batch dependant on the flowers visited (especially if you get pure rapeseed honey which is rather, umm, cabbagey! It also crystallises rather readily so is usually blended). I've not found a honey flavouring that tastes much like the real thing yet.

I wonder. Has anyone used caramel flavour instead of sweetener? After all, caramel flavour is sweet.

the joys of juice making , so may options and experiemnts to try and perfect flavours and blends.. I got some lemongrass yesterday ( smells amazing) and looking forward to trying that in one of my blends as an alternative to the standard lemon ive been using.. needs to steep for a week but the smell is lovely

I've got CCW lemongrass - and it's just like .... fresh lemongrass! :P

Very pleased with it, but to my palate it's definitely not a citrus lemon: so far my favourite nature-similar/identical type lemon flavouring has been Capella juicy lemon, but I have a few more to try yet :)

@ZT as pure sucralose it's exactly the same stuff that goes into the ready-made 'Sweetener' liquid with PG (@ 20%). Same as making up malic acid or citric acid (or both together) for 'sour'. The only other alternative sweetening component would be pure stevia powder, but not having tried this yet I can't advise on how it affects flavours.

I couldn't think of any reasons not to use it, nor currently find a better price for quantity - go for it :)

Just to be clear, you'd fill a bottle 1/5 of powder and then top up with PG?
