Trouble with complex coils and incorrect ohms?

check all the screws are tight
especially after dry firing
Ohms jumping about is usually a bad connection
I checked the screw. The Ohm reading only changed once and is not around what it should read.
 
If I were you, I'd gently flatten the ends of the coils with a hammer. This would simplify installation of the coils and increase contact area. Cleaning the base, including screws, is also a good idea.

kanthal coils ohms change after the first few times you fire it.
are the screws coming in direct contact with the coil? i had an issue with ohms on my manta because the coil was under the screw.
