From what I see at royal mail not everything is being handled sequentially, stuff being put to the back of the queue when it should have been sorted. With 3 x normal Xmas volumes of mail, sorted by a massive agency workforce, with very little training. On top of that there are also overtime restrictions in some places, imposed by management on the instructions from a board hell bent on forcing it's loyal workforce to take industrial action. Our CEO and his cronies are a set of cunts, desperately trying to break the Union. What a time to cancel Saturday letter deliveries, just to prove to the regulator that it isn't necessary, and save money, especially without negotiation to protect those whose work hours often revolves around family commitments. RM don't give a shit about that. Destroy a public service, make lots of money, end of.....
