A good one this, but please feel free to delete if already posted. Its a 4 page pdf, very simple to understand
Its a study, commissioned by ASH (action on smoking and health) to show if any non smokers, adult or child, has started to regularly use ecigs.

The study involved a survey of 12,171 adults and 2,178 children ages 11-18 in February and March of this year. Despite widespread awareness of electronic cigarettes among youth and adults, the survey failed to find a single adult or youth never smoker who regularly uses electronic cigarettes.

Awareness of electronic cigarettes was 67% among 11-18 year-olds and 83% among the 16-18 year-olds. Nevertheless, "among young people who have never smoked ... 0% report continued e-cigarette use and 0% expect to try an e-cigarette soon."

Here it is:

Am sending this straight to my mum, whenever I try and promote vaping to her as a healthy alternative to smoking her main worry (as a lady involved in child care all her life) is that children and teenagers will start vaping because "the flavours appeal to them like alcopops do and smoking 'looks cool'".

Hopefully I can change her mind with this. Fantastic, cheers.

Erm, the title of the thread is a load of tosh, there is a thread on this very forum of a non-smoker who started vapeing... while I would agree that it is only a VERY small % of non-smokers who take up vapeing, it is in no way whatsoever none at all.

You seem to forget to take into account that whatever ASH say is the gospel truth and cannot be challenged by anyone, anywhere at any time.... apparently. ;)
