Possibly he has overdosed on Gamma again and turned green

No mate, not Gamma. I'm on the Diazepam today and not quite with it. My potassium went through the roof earlier in the week and I've been on the verge of being hospitalised over the last couple of days. I had an emergency ECG on Tuesday which was thankfully all fine. I received the final all clear this morning and all is well again.

Today is a much needed recovery day for me. A few typos or oversights may be possible...

I suspect you're right. You'll have to let us know how that one goes, that's one of many that's piqued my interest. I'm developing a bit of a list at the moment and have a few choice to make.

The Classic is definitely a winner in my book.

Thankfully the first blood test turned out to be an unexplained anomaly and my potassium came good in the follow-up.

It was a worrying time though because they made it sound like my kidneys were failing and wanted to admit me to a ward and put me on a permanent ECG on the spot. Fortunately they let me go home and do a follow-up on Wednesday.

It was such a relief to get that all clear phone call today. Yesterday was just awful waiting.

I thought I was going to be practicing my stealth vaping from behind the curtains again!

I've just been having a look at the reviews on the Unicorn site. It seems I'm not the only one that's been suffering delayed delivery and lack of communication. I should've done it first really.

Consensus seems to be that it will come but it will take a couple of months.

It's really poor customer service from them though. I expected better from a 'higher end' manufacturer. It's not like they're a no-name Chinese drop-shipper. They should be doing better than this - at least responding to emails.

@Astral @John R I finally got around to ordering the Nevermore a few weeks back, direct from Unicorn Mods website, and received it about a week later (ten days maybe). Inexplicably fast compared to some... Didn't have a chance to build it for a couple of days but I was really disappointed when I did. Airflow control ring wouldn't move at all (now fine), top cap fitting way too tight (trying to undo it actually moves the chimney to deck thread instead) but worst of all the main threading on the chimney or deck is awful. It'll move so far then catch, then needs a proper push to get it moving at which point it makes a nasty crunchy click. It doesn't seal properly so the deck floods. Stuffing the wells helps, high vg helps, but nothing stops the flooding! I emailed Unicorn a couple of days ago, no response yet but early days I guess. Astral, hope yours isn't a dud like mine (when it arrives).

Hi @Fogpit Stan, mine arrived safe and sound shortly after I started getting worried, thank goodness. They never responded to my emails though which was disappointing, so don't expect to get any response either. They seem to be pretty much uncontactable and their customer service is poor.

That said I'm surprised you're experiencing problems with the tank itself, mine are both my Nevermore's are brilliant and as dry as a bone. I haven't got any of the wicking or machining issues you've described. Both mine are top quality and screw together perfectly.

I hope you get your wicking issues sorted, it's one of my favourite atties. I hate to think you're not enjoying it as much as I enjoy mine. Just use plenty of cotton and you should be fine. I use a 3mm ID coil and have the cotton well seated on floor of the well and its fine.

Quick question then @Astral. Do you have the v1.2 or the original? Mine's the v1.2. Also do your decks have the + and - symbols machined in? The deck on mine doesn’t which I thought was odd, and the machining don't look like the promo photos either...
Along with the o-rings being the wrong size, the sticky top cap and the poor seal on the chamber, it made me think I'd bought a clone from some fake website.
Hope they reply soon but after hearing your experience I'm not holding my breath.

Hi @Fogpit Stan, both mine are V1.2's. Neither has the engravings on them.

This is how I wick mine. Lots of cotton!

Just gotta hope neither of them floods now, I don't want to seem a fibber!

I don't recall recommending it. I remember pillorying them for their poor comms and poor dispatch and non working tracking. I also highlighted the crap screws supplied with the tank. I may have said it was a good vape at some point and that's still the same. At the end of the day, it's a good tank and worth the £25 I spent. I can only speak to the one I have and other than the issues I mentioned before, it's been fine.

Doesn't it have spare o-rings in the box? Maybe replacing them or the glass would help with the seal.
