Updates & Mooch Ratings...

Excellent idea - every vaper needs to view a mooch bench test before selecting a battery! Another thought of safety to your credit. Thank you both.

Talking of battery safety... like most of you I've got a f'ton of batteries. I thought I'd be clever by rewrapping them coded by colour. Single 25r's are purple, doubles are yellow, triples are Spider-Man, VTC5a's are red.... Trouble being that at least 2 of my 9 25r's are Smurfs which must be close to 2yrs old and need binning. Wouldn't it be great to have date stickers on batteries and a wrap with a clear window to view it through?

Mooch hopes to update his Recommended Batteries chart this week - to add the NCR20700A and B :)

You can use clear wrap over an existing wrap on which you write or over paper - we've seen examples of vapers using cut strips from comics then covering with a clear wrap.
Doubt we'll see manufacturers using non-coded dates, their customers wouldn't like it on the whole, everyone always wants the newest!
Agree about colour coding, makes life much easier! Now, an aftermarket wrap with some kind of nifty clear date area would be a great idea .. Ben?

Thanks @mannikon some good ideas there.

I've started writing dates on the wraps of those I've can identify. It's not ideal. A Sharpie date on the cell and a coloured translucent wrap it will have to be.

A window and a label telling me the purchase date and the battery type would make life so much easier though. And I personally would pay for the service knowing my cells had been 'soft tested' also [emoji6]

depends on the build, personally I'd go for a lower mAh and higher amps with any mech, it's just safer.

The milliampere hour (mAh) rating isn't important, well only important to how much charge the battery will hold and how long the battery will last (per charge, ie vaping time) the amp rating is what's important, you need to work out what amps you will be drawing from the battery and then buy a suitable battery, of course within that amp rating you can get the highest mAh available.

brilliant thanks the place i bought the mech sent me a samsung 25 r battery said it would be suitable.
