Vamo v5 and iclear 30 problem :/

Hi all I'm new to this site ..
i have recently brought a vamo v5 with the iclear 30 tank and all was going well until about a week ago ,, for some reason I can't screw the tank all the way down now so it's snug , it won't read the ohms and comes up with low load on display .... Until I unscrew it so its loose and wobbly it will then fire :/ I'm confused .. I even brought a new tank today and its still the same . Any ideas ?

Possible that the firing pin on the vamo has been pushed down by overtightening? It can be gently raised with a paperclip

Ok tried that its slightly better but still not perfect I don't wanna damage the pin :s think the rubber seal around the pin may be stopping the pin from popping back up

Does it only happen with iclears? Or other tanks as well?

I have a mt3 with the wider thread and it works fine :s confusing

Must be the tank then, or rather the atty

yeah i'd say the tank threads are probably knackered check em and see if there's any stripped

The threads look fine I also brought a new iclear 30 and still have the same problem , it's confusing cause if the pin was pushed down surely I would have to screw the tank down further for it to fire but its the complete opposite it will only fire tightened half way so it's wobbly and unstable

Get a cotton swab and clean out the 510 threads in the Vamo. If you have any isopropyl or rubbing alcohol even better.
The bottom threads in the Vamo may be gunked up.
The 510 threads on the iClear are not very long so as you are screwing it down you end up losing the "earth" connection as they hit the mucky threads.
