I have a Vamo V5 and a Kayfun lite + clone, and finally had a chance to set it up, built a 1.8ohm microcoil and cotton wick, now what setting should I be vaping at?
Should i be changing the volts or the watts? and what sort of v/w should i be setting it to?
Cheers.

Set it to VW, try around 7 or 8 to start and increase until it tastes/feels right. If you start getting a burnt taste, dial it back a bit.

Not owned the Vamo, so I will leave it to someone else to give further details.

Thanks,
What are the advantages/disadvantages to having it set to either variable volt or watt?

Setting it to power (watts) just changes the voltage output to give you the desired power output in relation to the resistance of the coil. If you use different resistance coils and like a certain juice at a certain power output, then it's easier to use watts than voltage settings to get the same output.

I've found that since building micro coils myself I can vape everything flat out at 15 watts on my Vamo for the best vape, but taste is individual, just use the power you like best.

I've been using a vamo for a while & always have it set on watts, 7 is a definite good starting point & vapes well as low as that

I use the aspire nautilaus on the vamo at around 9.5 watts normally.

Well I did anyway until my zenith v2 turned up. That's always set at 15 watts.

It's kind of hard going back to be honest. Rda's are worth the slight inconvenience, most of the time. Maybe not driving lol.

Saying that I did also get a kayfun clone in between but I can't remember what I vaped that at! I imagine it was also around 15 watts.
