vanilla v vanillin, and blueberry extra.

i have seen a juice recipe i would like to try but it uses vanillin?
anyone have any experience of using vanillin? i have read it is the chemical version of vanilla, so im guessing i can just use vanilla in its place? or has vanillin got some other dimension to the flavour that vanilla doesnt have?

also the recipe uses "blueberry extra" which i think is a TPA concentrate. similar question really, does extra mean extra concentrated? or does it have something else in it? i already have a "blueberry double" concentrate, which i think is just highly concentrated so dont really want to buy another blueberry if i can help it.
