Hey guys,

New to this forum and wonder if you can help...

I've been vaping for years and my knowledge has always remained somewhat lacking.

I struggle to find a set up that is optimised for flavour. I use Smok devices almost exclusively (currently, species) with either a TFV12 prince or freemax mesh tank - the freemax is my favourite.

Is this the best set up for flavour? Can you guys recommend any hardware that would make things tastier? Every time I put a new coil in I get a tank or two of intense flavour before it tapers off into a very bland nothingness taste.

I work in the US so use bad drip labs juice - if that helps.

Hope this isn't too stupid a question and look forward to your responses.

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum, and it's not a stupid question, it's something we're all looking for.

The Freemax is one of the most highly rated tanks at the moment, together with the Horizon Falcon, so that's not your problem.

I haven't used Bad Drip juices, but my guess would be that, like many US juices, they're very high in sweeteners and enhancers which kill coils very quickly.

The only way round this would be to try some other juices, or perhaps consider switching to RTAs where you could change the coil every couple of days without great expense.

Hi @Sizzler and welcome to the Planet from the other side of the big pond.

Its totally down to individual likes and taste. smok are a bit hit and miss here in the UK as in the last two years they flooded the market and their QC suffered for it.
me personally i found the last decent tank was the tfv4. i bought the tfv8 and re boxed it within a day and gave it away. i read a lot now that coils are a bit naff and can sometimes only last a day or two.
the freemax mesh pro on the other hand is a fab tank and ive got two of them. this tank and its coils for me give the best flavour out of all the 47 tanks i have.
the key though is never stick with just one flavour and rotate regularly so as to keep your taste buds alive otherwise the dreaded vapours tongue can creep up quite quickly.

ive not tried bad drip before. what i do have in my frremax is dinner lady tuck shop which give an imense flavour and a mint humbug thats only available in the uk.
so rotate regularly and the flavour should stay strong.

I found enhanced flavour by using an RDA instead of tank. That means an atmomiser which really doesn't hold much juice and either using premade coils or building your own. You drip directly onto the coils and/or wick when you need to. The flavour is so much better.

Thanks for all your help guys. I've bought a couple more juices today and some dual and triple coils. Will rotate the flavour and see what happens.

I'll have a look in the RTA section and see what that's all about.

Thanks again really appreciate it!
