Vapefest 2018

Somebody's got to pitch the tent & get the kettle on [emoji3]. If the weather stays decent there should be a good turnout but yeah the vendor list is a bit meh. Don't see many from here promoting it.

Yeah. I know a lot of the forum vendors have never been arsed and that there are a few who aren't doing it this year, I get that enirely, but the prospective crowd are quiet too.
Ah well. Party for 7 anyone? :17:

Not many old guard left though. No Tubbyengineer [emoji25], Dia's too far away. Still will make the best of it. Really needs more presence across the vape community/vendors. Be great to see the likes of Vaping101, S&R, Stealthvape & others advertising it. Even FB groups are bereft of info.

I dunno, there's two promoting it pretty heavily atm. Totally take what your saying about the vendors though. I think it's an expense that in their eyes isn't worth the risk due to last years dismal affair. I'd wager, in fact strike that I know, that at least a few lost money that weekend and with a limited audience their brand promotion was also curtailed, so in a sense it makes no sense for many of them to make the trip if they're a distance away. But it's still bugging me that if this year is shit we may not see it again? Probably bumping my gums on that though.

And Tubbs? It's gonna feel weird. And not at all nice. :(

I can understand the vendors bowling up at Expo/Jam as there's B2B opportunities as well as Joe public. But the likes of Fest & VC are where the community should be active & help spread the news. I'll guess 75% of vapers haven't a clue that these events even exist yet a fair % will be buying gear from online/B&M vendors who do. Perhaps the organisers need to target joe public via these avenues which in turn may encourage more vendors to have a presence. Who knows, I don't [emoji848]

POTV will be there as always with their usual arrangements. :) I'm taking a break this year, mainly due to a clash of dates with a prior commitment for Carol and to be honest, neither of us want anything, so apart from missing out on the social scene, no real point in driving up and then back down on the same day.

I know Stu & looking forward to thanking you in person for the mod [emoji16][emoji16][emoji106]

To be Honest, I only go to VF to meet up for a Weekend of Camping and Debauchery with Old Friends now !!! last years seemed to be on a lot smaller scale than previous events, mainly because Vendors were sharing tents !!! But I'll keep going as long as it keeps going !!!

There still seems a buzz on UKS and maybe, just maybe the fine weather will hold out until then.

Either way, I'm like a kid at Christmas and can't wait.
