Vaper Trails

Oh dear me... And that`s exactly why we don`t sell chargers, batteries or liquids... Even 1 faulty batch can cause a lot of problems..
Always buy only from trusted vendors and avoid market stalls at all costs

I run a market stall in Wimborne and we have the same standards there as we do in my shop. to say avoid market stalls is quite wrong there are many many great vendors on market stalls. please dont tar every one with the same brush.

though its a negative for vaping overally the article doesnt actually point its finger at vaping to blame and this can so easily just have been any charger for any device. the article is incorrect in saying it is a battery charger for ecigs though . its not it a battery charger for batteries end of.
the same batteries that can be used in a bunch of other devices.
i have emailed the gov offiical listed th the bottom of the article stating i wish to make an official complaint against the use of eciagrettes in the article clearly stating it is a charger for many devices , linking to such things as headlamps, torches, usb charger boxes etc all of which use 18650 type batteries which can be charged in this.

i would urge others to also email a complaint against the unfair link to ecigs in this article.

sorry if i offended you in any way.. Yes there is decent vendors out there but they are in a minority..
I have my Ebay shop as well, but i would not recommend to buy from Ebay myself (if that makes sense)

there is so much crap out there and people often putting themselves in a real danger.

I believe most vendors on POTV are worth the trust, so if you see one on the market or Ebay, then you should not be worried too much..

to be fair, i only go on personal recommendation anyway...so if someone said xxxx seller on xxxx market is decent, then i'd shop there...same would go for an ebay shop

I think some vendors get their stock from china does' nt mean its all bad gear.As vendors it is up to them that the gear is safe to sell to their customers. As for the op post battery chargers specific for ecig batteries should only
be sold.

Im trading on a market stall when i can at the moment till a good shop comes free, but because trade on a market stall doesnt mean im supplying cheap knock off stock nor should i be avoided. I only sell uk sourced stock and or have ECITA.

I feel sorry for VT and i was going to place a liquid wholesale order this week but im glad i read this first.

Your still importing electrical devices from China. If a mod shorts out and causes a user a problem in the eyes of the law, you're the manufacturer, the buck stops with you.

Not all market stalls are bad. There are a lot of good people running market stalls out there and while you should always buy from a trusted vendor, it's not correct to avoid market stalls.

VaperTrails have been around a long time and have a B&M shop, should we avoid all B&M shops?

If you sell imported stuff you should at the very least do the due diligence paperwork and check out that the CE certification etc supplied by the manufacturer is up to standard and that what you're selling is safe.

i don`t have anything electrical for the reasons mentioned above, but i see your point and i agree about certificates etc..

I should stay out of this topic, But I ain't.
But I am only going to comment on market stalls (not). Simply because here in Northampton that's all we have that I know of. Accept for some shops selling ego kits.
There's two, one sells basic, what I would call junk. The other which I'm going to plug, is Moorevape. Which is run by vapers, and they won't bat an eyelid if the queue grows massive while they are giving advise to those that want/need it.
As for the OP, it's over hyped because it's e-cig related. It's of interest to us because we are the users.
How many other items do trading standards confiscate, due to health and safety on a daily basis. That aren't vape related. And recalls, like cars with dodgy brakes, toys with toxic paint, that never get reported.
As for a CE mark, I think (might be wrong) that is was Chris Choi, in an interview with Dave Dorn, that said the CE mark does not mean a lot. Or words similar to that.

The CE mark is only there to prove it was of satisfactory standard in the first place and has been through testing.
