Everybody is saying it had to be the battery venting - completely ignoring the fact that the deck of the Tobh would have been in the way of a venting battery. More likely he set fire to his juice and wick just as he took a huge lung hit...

Well yup, that makes some sense. I read a couple of his fb replies to people & he claims that he "did everything right" !
I only saw it a little while before posting here, there's the usual assumptive & vape-defence shouts about user error. Most likely is but also perhaps a reflection of the kind of gear that newer vapers can get without being experienced. I believe it was a mech & a hybrid tobh rda at 0.5ohm.

All these things are just tantamount to user error or just simply down to pure bad luck. How many times have folk set their house on fire after falling asleep while smoking a cigarette!?! How many times has a lighter burned a smoker!?! This sort of thing can obviously be used towards anti-vape campaigners agenda, but there will always be folk who will get it wrong or just fall in to a very unlucky minority.

Amist the talk of user error & the other usual defending of vaping i can't help but check in with myself as a statistic & remind myself that i am no exception any more than all the other vapers in the world. I've had some hot batteries this year & that was user error. It just makes me want to be careful & make sure my own house is in order.
having said that i don't push the limits or believe that building a coil below 1ohm will make my vape better.

The flip of that is that whatever ohms people build to, put it on a daft 200w vw box and it all goes south pretty quick "bet i can do a 8sec lung hit at 180 mate - 10quid says so" pooooof cotton in flames/hand off/insert disaster here.

Indeed, the term keep your house in order fits well.

Tit or not (we don't know the whole deal) hope the bloke is ok.











Ooooops afterthought, here it comes.....

Temp control prob which would have helped had it been a box.......it'll slowly take over, breeding underground 'hardcore' modders (pronounced tits) who will work around this no doubt new legistlation to give the full power back to the misinformed creating even more problems.
