After a few jack daniels the other night and the fact I was shaking off a cold and still had a blocked nose. I noticed a jar off vapo-rub chest rub in my medicine cupboard. You can guess what happened next. I placed some in my buddy elip and it worked great cleared my nose in an instant. Problem was it seemed to start clogging up my atomizer so I rinsed it out and decided it may be a bad idea.

I though to myself though that maybe I was onto something here. If I could get a mixture together with the right consistency then It would be better than nasal spray.

What do you guys think?

DO NOT TRY THIS. DO NOT DO THIS. THIS IS NOT WHAT THE PRODUCTS WERE INTENDED FOR AND YOU COULD SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF.

Yeah not a good idea mate heres a list of ingredients:

Active Ingredients: Label reads: Special Vick medications (camphor, menthol, spirits of turpentine, eucalyptus oil, cedar leaf oil, myristica oil, thymol)...compounded by the original Vick process. VICK CHEMICAL COMPANY Div of Richardson-Merrell Inc, New York, NY 10017[non-primary source needed]

  • Camphor 4.8% (Cough suppressant and topical analgesic)
  • Eucalyptol 1.2% (Cough suppressant)
  • Menthol 2.6% (Cough suppressant and topical analgesic)
Inactive Ingredients

Vaping anytype of oil is bad news mate, never mind the fact there is 4 types in vicks

Just no. And a really strong menthol (I knock up my own to get it really hypersuperduper strong) works just as well.

I think you are right. It was a curious thing to do. I remember when I was a kid and my first experience of vaping (40 years ago) was when we had one of those facial sauna thingies. My mum used to put a bit of vaporub in that and it did the trick for me.
