Does anyone change their mixing ratios depending on the current weather?
In the home all is ok, but I'm getting a slight cotton taste after four or five tokes on a Dtl set up whilst out and about, probably due to the cold.
I've started mixing at 60vg rather than 70 for out and about Dtl and 60pg for Mtl to aid better wicking. The 60vg should be suitable for Mtl in the summer as it won't be too thin. Although I'll then have to mix at 80vg for Dtl to allow for the warmer weather.
This all seems like a bit of a faff now that I've seen it typed out here, but if it's the price I have to pay for a consistent vape, I'm ok with it.
I'm not sure if it would be easier or even possible to alter my build/wicking to achieve the same results but I'm happy with how I build my atties now so a slight variation in mixing percentages is probably the best way for me to go to achieve consistency.
What do you guys think? Am I overcomplicating things? Do you any of you do this too?
I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts, from experienced mixers to those that just knock up a bit now and then.
Thanks
