Wattage/power help

Hi guys I've decided to try mtl vaping just a quick one I'm using a drag 3 with a ares mtl tank its got a 1.02ohm coil in the one that came supplied question is how high on power can I go I've tried the ohms calculator but can't figure it out I'm vaping at 22watts but the drag says no higher than 15watts tia

I would say between 10- 15 is about right or you could burn out the coil.

I'm struggling for flavour at that power tbh think I'll change the coil

This being some sort of "smart" mode I assume?

There's nothing smart about those modes, they're simply a set of values based directly on the kit coils and have no real bearing on anything else.

The upper (and lower) limit is down to you now.

If you're not getting dry hits, burnt cotton or melted coils then you've not hit the limit

That said, why do you want to use MOAR POWAH? Too much heat swamps a lot of flavours and shortens your coil and wick life...

Having the coil higher up from the bottom airflow should increase throat hit. I've used that coil in the Ares 2 at under 15 watts and it does produce flavour.

I’ve got an 0.8 coil using blue raspberry at 10watts nice flavour and a warm throat hit very nice.
