Wattage question involving maths and physics

Wow, glad I asked first then lol ! thanks for the heads up - might just get some more 0.4 coils to be on the safe side !!!

Put the 1.2ohm coil in and run it at first below the manufacturers recommended wattage....then increase slowly to the recommended...you may be surprised at the quality of vape.... wattage is not a big dick contest, there are many more variables at play....Im currently running a 1.3ohm coil at 12.8watts 60/40 vg/pg....damn good vape I tell ye.

Easiest way to remember is higher resistance = lower power. lower resistance = higher power.
Stock coils should be started at or below recommended wattage & gradually increase power till the vape is to your liking.

the mod is regulated, (punk 220w) and it's Aspire Tigon tank with 0.4coil (shop bought, not built anything myself ...yet!!)
I have looked in the instructions and it says the wattage range for the 1.2ohm coil is 10-12W so I was way out with my calculations... feel a compulsion to understand why (so will look more in depth at the link with the calculations and explanations) but it's comforting to know what NOT to do hehe so thank you again!!
i was just replying to your other post but will put it here now.
KANT is kanthal and these coils should only be used in wattage/power mode
SS is stainless steel and can be used in wattage and TC temperature control mode
Ni200 is nickel coils and for TC mode only
Ti is titanium coils and for TC mode only.

tbh wattage is all you need. ive got over 20 mods that have TC and have never used them except in wattage. tried TC once, too much faff so stuck with wattage.

always prime your coils first. before screwing coil into tank base drip some juice on all the holes around the side and a few drops on the cotton down the centre of the coil.
if a coil says 10-20w or 20-50w then always start at half wattage so 15 or 30w take small short pufs and turn up a watt at a time to help bed in the coil. you might not get any cloud for the first few puffs but it is still heating up inside which will prolong the life of the coil.

well it sort of clears up the confusion I had because I was thinking, what is the point of having a device that goes up to 220w when it appears I only need about a tenth of it... but now I see that the higher the coil, the less power so I am guessing people who want to use 220W will have a very tiny coil...
but anyway I don't have a big dick ... I'm female lol
I only wanted to know the right wattage so I could use the 1.2 coil and not waste it... so it looks like that could actually save me some battery life too... and probably juice by the sounds of it... win win
thanks for the advice!!

No dick.......your responses to this thread will increase 100000000000000 fold:)

Edit: your welcome

It should say on the 1.2ohm coil what the recommended watts is for that coil... if not it will be on the manufacturers site......it won't be anywhere near 84 watts.
yep, ur right - found it thanks - it was hiding inside the user manual ... 10-12W ... had to get magnifying glass out

no one uses 220w (ok maybe one but hes not been seen for about a year).

why these companies advertise them as starter kits with 220w is beyond me.

easiest way to remember it is the higher the number the lower the wattage so 1.8, 1.6, 1.5, 1.2, 1.0 are all more for mouth to lung so the higher the number the higher the nicotine can be used.

while 0.2, 0.25, 0.5 are for higher wattage (average 40-80watts) with bigger clouds but need lower nicotine

I started with MTL, currently trying out DTL, currently FTP and HTD :hmm:
