I've just started to mix my own liquid and I'm having a tough time with getting the right results.

I prepared two recipes today, which were;

1: 10ml (3mg Nicotine)
Nicotine juice 18 mg (100% VG) - 1.67ml (2.11g)
VG dilutant - 5.99ml (7.56g)
Coconut (TPA) - 0.4ml (0.4g)
Mango (TPA) - 0.5ml (0.5g)
Pineapple (TPA) - 1.3ml (1.3g)

2: 10ml (3mg Nicotine)
Nicotine juice 18 mg (100% VG) - 1.67ml (2.11g)
PG dilutant - 1.9ml (1.97g)
VG dilutant - 5.33ml (6.73g)
Juicy Peach (CAP) - 0.5ml (0.5g)
Papaya (TPA) - 0.6ml (0.6g)

After making each recipe, my stirring method was taping the bottle to a drill bit, attached to a drill, and spinning for about a minute in either direction. As these were fruit flavours, I was under the impression there would be no steeping at all. On the safe side, I left for a few hours in a cupboard.

Flavour wise, both were quite mute, but recipe #2 had almighty throat hit that tasted like pure nicotine. My worry is that the nicotine I'm using is the 'nicotine shots' which are quite a low base, hence using more, but I worry the calculation is wrong?

Does steeping make a significant difference and am I applying the nicotine shots correctly?

Your help would be much appreciated!

You are using the correct nicotine calculation. Fruits do benefit greatly from a few days steeping.

Does that method of mixing work?
My thought is that it sounds like a centrifuge that would be just as likely to separate ingredients rather than mixing them.
A bit of shaking should be suficient to get a good mix.
If it was not properly mixed you micht have tested a high nic part of the bottle.

#1 22% flavouring
#2 11% flavouring

Normally max 15% flavouring. Adding more can mute the flavourings, and 11% might be on the weak side.

Are you using tried and tested recipes, or making them up yourself?

Sounds like another one to file under VG nic hotspotting. :(

Fruits don't usually need much of a steep, next day should be fine, though your mixing method sounds a bit idiosyncratic ... what's wrong with just giving the bottle a thorough shake?

There is your problem right there. Peach flavourings are notorious for an almightly throat hit straight off the bat and usually take a few weeks to mellow out and even then sometimes they dont mellow out all that well.
