Hi I have recently bought the aspire rover 2 and its making me cough the wattage is at 14 but think I need to change voltage. Any help please

I wouldn't fiddle about with the voltage, stick with adjusting the wattage. If it's making you cough this could be down to a number of factors. Is it making you cough because it's too harsh?
Have you tried turning the wattage down? What liquid are you using? What's the VG/PG ratio of it? What is the strength of the liquid (mg)?

Thanks .the pg 60% and vg 40% and is 12 mg nicotine. I have tried 6 but don't seem to get the throat hit

So is the 12mg right for throat hit but it's making you cough? Are you coughing constantly or because the vape is too harsh? A couple of things, try turning down the wattage slightly to maybe 12w, you could try a 50/50 liquid too. The other thing to remember is that if you've just quit smoking to take up vaping you will cough for a while as your lungs gets rid of all the crap and tar from the cigarettes.

Thank you I've been vaping for 5 years and always used the same liquid with different vapes so I will try the 50.50.juice and turn down the wattage. I always have aspire my last one was the aspire nautilus. Zelos .so was expecting it to be the same .I will let you know if it better thank you

You don't need to adjust the voltage. Regulated mods adjust the voltage accordingly when you adjust the wattage and the voltage supplied will fluctuate slightly as it delivers the required power. As recommended above, stick to adjusting the wattage.

hI @Lisa Riley ad welcome to the planet.

all great advice above. forget voltage and use wattage. regulated kits like this will change the voltage for you when you change the wattage.
as youve vaped for years we dont need to explain the basics.

looking at this kit it comes with a 1.8 and 0.7 coil. if your using the 0.7 that could be why your coughing as its more a direct to lung hit which may be too much having higher pg and high nic.
i cant find what wattage each coil is but the average 1.8 is around 10-14watt and the 0.7 is 18-24watt (this may vary).

this is on vape club:

  • Nautilus XS Vape Tank
  • 1.8 Ohm Nautilus X Coil
  • 0.7 Ohm Nautilus X Coil
  • USB Charging Cable
  • User Manual

Important information about sub ohm vaping:

This device is partially intended for sub ohm vaping. Sub ohm vape kits require a greater amount of knowledge and experience to use safely. They use specially designed coils that register below 1.0 Ohm resistance, for use at higher wattages. These kits will also feature advanced modes that require a knowledge of vaping to be used correctly.

We recommend that when sub ohm vaping, you do not use an e-liquid that has higher than a 6mg nicotine strength, this will be too harsh on the throat. Sub ohm vaping produces more vapour and because of this, an increased throat hit. You should kits like this with a high VG e-liquid, that is 60% VG or higher.
