What's new

What next after starter kit?

lol I don’t mind the inmates rioting, its actually quite enjoyable and I love a bit of chaos
This LiQuid sounds interesting, I’ll look it up. I know it sounds mad me avoiding artificial stuff after all the chemicals that are in tobacco but it’s for good rational health reasons.
Do I have to have a certain amount of posts before I can quote someone as it’s not happening for me?
i linked to LiQuid above in post 13.
if your worried about the artificial flavourings then they are mostly the same thing that is added to foods, sweets, deserts.

How the heck did you manage 11 days - gum or patches perhaps
I was close to ripping people's heads off by the 2nd day of quitting in past attempts

I'm trying to work out how much nicotine you might need probably 11-16mg
but was you a really heavy long time smoker or more of a social smoker ???

Congrats for going 6 weeks without fags

I think you just need to find a juice that works
perhaps a semi sweet tobacco RY4 with a very very slight drop of apple or strawberry if you like
(but not too much or just a mild RY4 on its own)
at perhaps 11mg

You could go for cheapo Maidens Tobacco or other end Manabush

Heck you could go for a plain VG (with a little PG) and just 11mg nicotine
(but think you want some flavour or you will complaining it is a little bland)

The point I'm making is I think you got a good kit for a while
it really is just finding a juice that you really like
(unless the t18 tank is crap which I doubt)
Problem is if you use really strong flavours, even with a new coil, flushing out tank
there often is some taint from previous strong juices that takes a while to disperse
So if you switch flavours, often there will be a slight taint for a little while

From what you have described you might want a subtle RY4 (ish) on about 11mg or just under
(not as low as 6mg if you identify you crave nicotine still)
Though tbh think half of quitting via vaping is the simulation of smoking
(but yeah you climb the walls needing a nic fix too)

Just persevere finding a mild subtle juice that you can enjoy
even if it is a tiny bit bland by some people's standards - better than sickly sweet
bit of nicotine and I think you will get there tbh

If you gave me a Tuti fruity Cola juice when I first started I'd have been back on the fags on the first vape
but I got a so-so mild American blend baccy juice that kinda slightly resembled the stinky fags
so I could stick it out and semi enjoy the vape draw without ripping heads off with a16mg fix

think you just need a mild subtle juice and you will be golden than splash more money just yet
(if you are happy with the T18 ii then just try some more juices imho)

Thank you. I didn’t think I did very well only lasting eleven days but I’m glad I’ve impressed someone. I think I just got lucky in that I was suddenly really motivated! What is an RY4?

I’ve smoked 15- 20 a day for over 30 years. I changed to roll ups about 10 years ago. If anyone can see my DOB and thinks the above doesn’t add up it’s because I’ve never knowingly told the truth about my age. I’m a liar as well as an addict. Sorry.

I like the idea of a plain juice without any sugary sickly taste. So the tobacco ones are fairly mild and with no added sugar?

You shouldnt find any sugars in juice.
Its artificial sweeteners like ethyl maltol.
All flavourings originated from confectionery or cake making etc and have been selected as suitable and safe to vape.

I’m trying to take this all in, so I need half a bottle of 3mg Spit Roast in which I need to add a shot of dildo whilst sitting in the fast lane of the M1. Got it.

Please STOP guys. This really isn’t helping the OP at all is it! :12:

To be fair, the message just before yours was from the OP...

She's a bad influence.

There are tobacco flavours & there are tobacco flavours - yeah that makes sense I know

But same as Old Holburn Vs Goldern Virginia Vs Drum etc.....
Or
Rothmans Vs B&H Vs Marlborough/Camel/No6 etc.....

You got all sorts of tobacco flavours - some very deep or harsher flavours than others

RY4 is slightly sweet blend of tobacco vanilla & caramel from way back that people found acceptable
(even for non-smokers)
But blending of flavours have come a long long way since then

RY4 might be a little sweet for you if you like a rich strong tobacco flavour
but then you might not want the exact similar flavour from roll ups
but maybe something you find palatable but not too bland but not too sweet with a mild baccy aroma
Taste is a personal choice and even then adding 5% to 15% of flavour or flavours to an ejuice mix is personal taste
(you may want a rich flavour recipe but added on a subtle percentage to juice base than go nutz and overkill)

You could try £1 88Vape Maidens Tobacco - sorta RY4 but not quite in 11mg or 16mg 70pg 30vg (runny)
Or
88Vape Rolling Leaf - think this is 11mg or 6mg, more tobacco than sweet tobacco think might be 70/30 but also 50/50 6mg
(me personally thought it was like chewing tobacco leaves after using Maiden for a while)

But there are loads of flavours out there and no - different tobacco's taste very different in flavour/strengths
from deep rich, even harsh, woody/nutty, slightly sweet, mixed with coffee, strawberry/apple blah blah blah

You need to decide what you might like or think you expect your tastebuds to enjoy

You probably need only a subtle flavour but as your first post said you was a nicotine addict & donuts
You went 3mg up to 12mg then back down to 3mg again but are confused and crave something
Think you might want say 6mg nic and a light mix of RY4 with a dash of coffee
or Asian/Turkish blend - something with a little kick but not a sweet or too fruity kick

BUT I'm not telling you what to get - merely making some suggestions based upon what you have described
Some very slight tobacco/spice very faint touch of sweetness 6mg nic MTL like you smoked with most air holes closed
(open 2 holes or 1.5 air holes & see how you go)

Then based on your next samples describe your opinions/like/dislike of what juice and somebody might be able to fine tune your potential all day favourite juice
(still might have one or two juices you use to switch it around when bored of same juice,
but often we have at least one favourite juice we vape quite often)

Often vanilla/custards plus caramel or fruit form a base of other flavours or fruit cocktail or cheesecakes or sickly stuff
(again taste is all down personal preference and opinions are like arseholes etc....)

Also if you find a flavour you really like but is a bit intense or the nic content is a little high
well you can pop into say Boots and buy some VG glycerin to dilute it down a bit..

https://www.boots.com/value-health-glycerin-b-p-200ml-10021858

But this will lower the flavour and the nicotine strength and in higher mixes alter the VG/PG ratio
(you should be fine adding a drop up to about 10~20% before the ratio alters much)
Though you need to find something that ticks most of the boxes first perhaps than mess around loads
just saying if you find something that you REALLY like but want to tone it down a bit but alters flav/nic/ratio too

We can't decide for you, but only offer advice or suggestions based upon your descriptions and are own personal opinions
we can be very wrong and you may end up liking something you thought would never work
but you should find something to tickle your palate/tastebuds

each to there own, personally when i quit the stinkies the idea was to stay away from tobacco flavours as they may give me the taste for a fag. I found a decent but inexpensive blueberry 18mg then dropped to 12mg after a few of weeks then went DTL 3mg and there i remain. Saying that i used to smoke jamaican rollies so i enjoyed the taste i smoked for 27 year but got to dislike the taste of tobacco after trying Bob Marley.

Doh thanks Strawberry. I was clicking on “quote”

Yeah what is this quote button for? It doesn't seem to do anything, well not for me anyways?!

Edit: Just seen Strawberrie's reply to that...now!

Anyway, hello dunmoaning, welcome to the planet and congrats on quitting the pyros. I can't add anything more that hasn't already been said. But finding the right juice is something that does take a while to do when you're a newbie. Interesting to read that most juices contain articficial ingredients, i didn't know that...i thought like most food products these days, they had natural flavourings and sweetners in them...you learn something everyday.

Finding the right juices is the 64 million dollar question...one has to hunt around and find the ones that suit you. I started with tobacco flavoured ones to begin with, just because i wanted to replicate smoking as close as is possible with vaping, but i quickly went off those, can't stand them now...now i vape sweet flavours, fruits and desserts and menthol based ones. So i presume i'm vaping mainly artificial stuff. Oh well...it's gotta be better than the crap i was inhaling before, as a smoker!

Sorry i couldn't provide any further advice with your query, but hope you find what you're looking for soon.
