What next after starter kit?

You shouldnt find any sugars in juice.
Its artificial sweeteners like ethyl maltol.
All flavourings originated from confectionery or cake making etc and have been selected as suitable and safe to vape.
Yeah what is this quote button for? It doesn't seem to do anything, well not for me anyways?!

Edit: Just seen Strawberrie's reply to that...now!

Anyway, hello dunmoaning, welcome to the planet and congrats on quitting the pyros. I can't add anything more that hasn't already been said. But finding the right juice is something that does take a while to do when you're a newbie. Interesting to read that most juices contain articficial ingredients, i didn't know that...i thought like most food products these days, they had natural flavourings and sweetners in them...you learn something everyday.

Finding the right juices is the 64 million dollar questions...one has to hunt around and find the ones that suit you. I started with tobacco flavoured ones to begin with, just because i wanted to replicate smoking as close as is possible with vaping, but i quickly went off those, can't stand them now...now i vape sweet flavours, fruits and desserts and menthol based ones too. So i presume i'm vaping mainly artificial stuff. Oh well...it's gotta be better than the crap i was inhaling before, as a smoker!

Sorry i couldn't provide any further advice with your query, but hope you find what you're looking for soon.

Thank you. Yes I’m also very surprised that most contain artificial ingredients. Obviously they’re not going to be as harmful as smoking but I think that’s bedside the point. Just because I was a smoker it doesn’t mean I’m going to accept any old mystery concoction of additives.

For three years I haven’t had artificial colours, flavours or sweetners and I’m very careful about what I eat and drink. I’m much healthier for it.
Some here suggested trying the flavour free nic shots, which sounded hopeful! Last night I spent an hour looking at sites to see if these nic shots contain anything else like sweetners. I couldn’t find a single site (other than the organic one) which listed the ingredients of their products. That lack of transparency is worrying and unacceptable imo.

I’ve decided to go with the 100% organic VG juice from a transparent supplier and I’ll buy the correct kit for that (whatever that is). I didn’t really want any faffing about but if that’s what it takes for reassurance I suppose. Hopefully without the sweetners etc my teeth won’t be coated and I won’t feel sick.

All thats in a nic shot is nicotine obvs and either propylene glycol or vegetable glycerine or a mix of the two.
Nothing more and nothing less.

All ejuice sold in the UK that includes nicotine, & nic shots for adding to shortfills has to be submitted for testing/analysis before they can be sold. I don't have the links to hand but there is a list of all juice that has passed TPD testing & ingredient lists/test results are available from the manufacturers.
Various mouth issues occur when you give up smoking, including mouth ulcers & bleeding gums. These are not a direct cause of starting vaping but can/will highlight general oral hygiene issues.

Thank you. I didn’t think I did very well only lasting eleven days but I’m glad I’ve impressed someone. I think I just got lucky in that I was suddenly really motivated! What is an RY4?

I’ve smoked 15- 20 a day for over 30 years. I changed to roll ups about 10 years ago. If anyone can see my DOB and thinks the above doesn’t add up it’s because I’ve never knowingly told the truth about my age. I’m a liar as well as an addict. Sorry.

I like the idea of a plain juice without any sugary sickly taste. So the tobacco ones are fairly mild and with no added sugar?

I'd give Drakes a try, its a Net (naturally extracted) e-liquid, my personal favourite is the Kentucky, but they do a Virginia and Burley.
I find them quite mild, the Virginia was milder than the Kentucky, but both are mild.
For me, they are the closest ive found to a real GV roll up, but in a clean way, sort of like the first drag of a fresh packet.

Ive no idea what sugar goes into e-liquids, I would be interested too really, I don't like sweet liquids either.

well done on 6 weeks stopped, keep at it, I'm well over a year now

there info on Drakes and you can get them at Manabush website (click guest e-liquids)

Thanks so much for all your help and advice lovely forum people, the link to drakes virginia sounds perfect for my needs. It also says this which left me chuffed as a box of frogs:

No Gunk! Our tobacco e-liquids contain no artificial flavourings, sweeteners or chemical additives, so your coil remains gunk free!”

Can someone please confirm the above is suitable for me to put in my pen?
