I lurk quite a bit in twitter land , mainly keeping up with vaping news and articles etc.
red head full of steam was a blogger and was also what could be described as a strong vaping advocate. She along with others daily challenged misconceptions and poor articles about vaping. She had quite a following and a skilful writing style, and also built up what appeared to be strong online friendships with other vaping advocates on there.
It appears 'she' is a he and her whole persona was a lie.

Thats my take on it anyway...

having never even heard of a redheadedwhatever they are called it all seems a bit storm in a teacup.
lots of people lie or expand the truth about who they really are online. it makes an otehrwise dull boring nobody seem a little more interesting and exciting.
what might start out as a small fib ends up due to the nature of the internet being a big white lie simply because once youve started digging a hole you soon realise the hoel has become to deep to get yourself out of.

Ive in 20 years online come across many many people who are not what or who they say they are, most of them its been done just to big themselves up a little. one cost me me my daughter, my job and my home and i ended up stuck in the US living in a trailer park for 3 months trying to piece my life back together.

the internet is full of keyboard warriors and trolls who in real life are cowardly wimps who wouldnt say boo to a goose.

if anyone has seen, heard of or watched Catfish they will know exactly the kind of thing im on about and what the internet can breed and bring out in people.

whatever the reasoning behind it. if this person is in fact a guy whos been portraying themselves and passing themselves off as a female i see no point in asking why they did it as most times they dont actually have the answer.

was anyone actually emotionally led on by them? was anyones life effected , destroyed or put under threat because of it. i dont know because i know nothing of this person or there blogs or there relationships with other people.
i only know what its like to be at the other end of someone like it and get caught in there web of lies to a level that for 2 years pretty much destroyed everything i had at the time.

I was reading this earlier and came to the same conclusion as many other people. All I know is that if there is one person who can get to the bottom of this, it is VMS! She has scary ways of finding out the slightest detail about just about anyone. Many a time she would don her Sherlock hat and go hunting when a suspicious new member would sign up and come up with everything! Her "Fenton" reference also made me smile as that was our pet name for her. I just hope that what ever is really going on (this was all the first I'd seen of any of this), VMS stays safe and doesn't end up getting into anything too crazy even for her to handle
