What's new

What to choose?

If you do go for a mod and tank set up any of the innokin zlide or zenith kits would be good.
I If I can remeMber them all they are

coolfire mini zenith kit
adept zlide kit
kroma a zenith kit
kroma r zlide kit (takes external battery)

all take the same coils wich are widely available in different resistances to suit personal preferences.
the adept zlide has really simple settings for new users and a 3000 mah battery wich should.last all day

I use my adept Zlide at 12w with the 1.6 coil. I can hammer it intensively and get a good 2 days out of it at least, that thing lasts! I like it as it gives flexibility but is easy for a beginner to get to grips with.

Thanks all, I went with the vim. My husband has just set them up. 1 is fine and the other is gurgling and spitting out of the top. We have gone through the help steps on jaq page and it's still doing it. It appears to be leaking out of the bottom of the tank but I can't see any obvious cracks. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @Amapoleon
the vim are great little mods and ive had no leaking or gurgling on both of mine.
im guessing the issue would be when youve filled it from the top some juice has gone down the centre hole which you dont want to happen. if you are using a bottle with a big nozzle then this could happen. you should only fill into the two thin slots on either side where you fill.
remove the tank and hold the bottom and do a swift downward motion like using a fishing rod which should move most of the liquid in the chimney. do this outside as you dont want it all over your carpet.

i will tag the boss to see if he can advise further @JAC Vapour

In regards to gargling it could just be the coil is a bit flooded, this can happen if you over fill (fill to just below the window) or use too big nozzle as MrDJ suggested. It can also happen just from over priming the coil, and you can easily clear it just by flicking the device, if you check the manual there is a page on it.

If it is leaking then the most common thing is not having the top on the device, so make sure that is properly on. You can check a tank is sound by filling it to about 3/4 and put the top on and leave to sit over night, if it doesn't leak it's fine. Leaving the top off will cause a leak, as the seal is required in a tank to maintain the pressure to stop the juice just flowing out through the coil. You may get the occasional drop run out the bottom, which will juts be condensation, but it shouldn't be noticeable.

Try above and if no fix let me know what happens testing the tank for leaks overnight.

edit - forgot to add make sure you are fitting the tank into the device correctly. It's clockwise to unlock and clockwise again to lock, the tank should always go clockwise. If you turn the tank anti-clockwise the topfill can come loose over time and release pressure, causing a leak.
