What you need to know about electronic cigarettes . Royal college of phycisians

Same old bs gateway argument.. that's the only thing they have left. Playing on people's fears of smoking uptake and using children as emotional blackmail tools.

The comment underneath referring to 'passive smoke' and children in cars made me cringe. The uneducated, set in stone, 'quit or die' mantra that a lot of medical 'professionals' insist on clinging to just goes to prove that they're more concerned with preserving their hate fuelled, patronising ideology than they are with reducing harm for a potentially huge number of tobacco users.

Apart from the comment underneath this was quite a balanced and vape-supportive article. It said there was "no evidence" for the gateway argument. Compared to the BMC, the Royal College of Physicians look like the good guys through my vapifocals.

(I seem to remember this article has been posted in another thread)

It certainly seemed more accepting of the idea some smokers simply will not use nrt products (I never did, rehabs for quitters is my motto).

I think they tried to cover most of the "traditional" arguments, and dealt with them fairly too, but they still cling to the idea smokers/vapers are ill and need fixing. A subtle hint, I am neither ill nor inclined to quit, I just wamt leaving the fuck alone to get on with my life as I see fit, if politicians and medical professionals *spits in dusgust* could see their way clear to fucking off and stopping interfering, I'll stop posting death threats and compromising pictures of their pets.......Kthanks :flames:

That's nothing. I wrote BMC instead of BMA. Due to a bout of Acronym Tourettes I must have been dreaming about a 1970's Morris Marina.
