What's new

Whats so special about Vamo, Provari's etc...

Well I bought a vamo and a protank, was fine for a week or so then when I unscrewed my protank to refill the protank wouldn't screw back in , it seems as though a ring for want of a better word has come off the screw of the protank and wedged into the centre hole at top of the vamo and cant get it out. Im not sure whats faulty the protank or the vamo but it just wont screw back in its just loose!!! :-(

There aren't any rings on the underside of the protank. What colour is this ring? There's a probably white washer behind the centre pin on a Vamo, that might get pushed up if a tank is screwed on too tightly, pushing the pin down. If it's a metal ring then maybe the threads have stripped?

Hello, what do these actually do thats different than an ego-c battery?. Do they make the flavour taste better, or what exactly?.

Thanks

You can possibly find out for just a quid by clicking on my sig and helping out my local hospice :)

i cant reccomend the itaste vv/vw enough if you want a relatively cheap move into modding, it has a resistance checker, variable wattage mode and at 800mah lasts me a full day at work, does everything the more expensive ones do with the only draw back being battery life as far as i can tell

Had my Vamo for a couple of days now, and bloody love it. Opted for the stainless version, I have teamed it ip with an Ego EE2 clearomiser, it looks fabulous, so my shinyitus is satisfied and it gives a great vape. The large capacity tank also means less faffing about re-filling the thing. Have found that the best vape is obtained in the VW mode, 7w seems to suit my needs, in RMS mode as well, of course.

Another Boltonian :-). Do you know anywhere that does repairs? Ta

Repairs to the vamo? If you are having problems with it my first suggestion would be to check the battery you are using. Got my first batteries from ebay, but although they appear to be the correct spec, they do not work. At first I thought I had a duff mod. Got another couple of batteries from an E-Cig dealer, and all is perfect. From posts I have read batteries with 'fire' in their name should be avoided. Go for good quality, branded batteries, apparently they also need to be of the 'unprotected' kind.

I would like to second this :) The only battery drawback I found is that it doesn't give you enough time on the amber and red before it dies completely and if your out without a charger can be a pain, battery lasts me about 2 days

If you had asked me last week I would have bigged up the vamo, been using it exclusively since April and i thought it was the quackers Knackers........UNTIL I just received my Smoktech Magneto from Bargain Vapour. Quite frankly i wander why i bothered with vv/vw as the vape from this thing is far more consistent. Its a lot smaller too and far more pocket friendly. One efest 18350 is lasting around 5 hours of fairly heavy vaping, not sure how long an 18650 will last as i havent needed to use one yet. Its a really nice bit of kit and looks banging with the protank on top plus it gives me the freedom to use very low ohm coils. I will still use the old vamo though for measuring resistance and battery level and as a spare to stop my mates from hogging my Magneto. Happy vaping peeps.
