Which Mod?

Question one- Hi all, have had to very suddenly give up smoking due to a stroke, and am finding it difficult to decide on which mod to get. The main consideration would be durability, it may well be dropped at some point, but price isn't really an issue, because it doesn't make sense to economise on a vaping mod, when I was spending so much on smoking. Second consideration is to get a big cloud, which I enjoy very much. (Also, if the mod you recommend doesn't include a tank, could you recommend one?).

Question 2- I know you're not meant to ask two questions on the internet at once, but here goes. When I tried to give up a few years ago, I was looking at e-pipes. After some research, I ended up with the impression they were a gimmick, has this changed, and if so, is there a good one you could recommend? Durability is not important here as I will just smoke this on the sofa.

is this your first attempt at vaping? you may want to consider something more like the draw of cigarette?

but if you want a sturdy device the geekvape aegis legend is a pretty sturdy device that could take a drop or 2, that device does use 18650 batteries which you would need separate and a charger for

and for tanks it really depends the type of draw you're after, airy and cloudy , or tighter and more restricted, and how much you used to smoke to get your nicotine level correct to satisfy you, the tight more restricted tanks with higher nic are usually more suited for switching

There are a few versions of the aegis - the legend as stated which is dual 18650.

Then there's the original aegis - single 26650.

And aegis mini - with integrated (non swappable) cell/battery.

All are built to take a beating (but apparently if you throw the original one 15 feet in the air onto concrete it can damage the cell )

Screw (almost) whatever tank/atty on top you like.


If you want clouds, then MTL (cigarette type restrictive draw) probably won't cut it at all.

Best for clouds would probably be a dripper, but you usually have to build the coil and wick yourself - which some consider too much trouble... I use them almost exclusively...

sorry to hear about the stroke,,id say if you want a solid mod that can take a few knocks and bangs it would have to be the aegis legend which is one of the mods i use its a solid bit of kit and if you want clouds get yourself a freemax mesh pro its one of the best for flavour aswell will need to buy some spare coils aswell, not advised to go over 6mg nicotine in these setups though,,as said before you will need to buy some batteries and a charger probably best to get 2 sets of batteries as the aegis can go through them pretty quick.

I get almost a day to a day and a half (15-20ml of juice though a RDA) at 40-65W (depending on exact build) from a pair of 25r in my legend.

Dedicated external charger is a must imo.

An extra set of cells (for well under a tenner from fogstar) is well worth it for saved waiting to charge.

tbh sxk builitbox as long as you can manage to change the coils the rest of it is simples
will take drops as well
can be set for silly clouds or just normal i want to give up clouds
and if you dont fall down the road of shinyitus should be easy to sell when you do give up
