Hi all which nic Base would you say is best VG or PG for mixes 70vg/30pg I did have VG based I bought but it has gone out of date

I use pg base and mix at 70 30 as pg keeps better than the vg. It does depend on what strength your mixing at and conentrate percentages though as most concentrates are pg and can impact the calculations. If your mixing at a strength of around 1mg or less pg is the best bet

I made 100ml of red astaire with the out of date nic should I bin it

I always use VG as my base for my nic - Else you won't be able to get the high VG ratios.

Tbh it all depends on your concentrate percentages. VG is best to go VG heavy, but PG keeps better. Try and buy small quantities that you know you'll use within a few months, or freeze any that you don't feel you'll use up quick.

U can still get the 70vg ratio if your mixing at 6mg nicotine 20% concentrate if your mixing 20ml and above bottles.

Does the red astaire taste peppery?

If it tastes/vapes OK then it's good.

I was told by a nic supplier that vg and pg nic both keep well if frozen in glass with minimal air gap. The most important thing is the quality to start off with.

It Vapes ok and smells ok no peppery taste
