As the title suggests I'm interested in who is known for their tobacco concentrates, I know Inawera is known for fruit etc etc, but which flavourist makes good tobaccos?

Inawera do some great tobacco absolutes too, the cuban cigar and dark tobacco base are two of my favourites along with the Virginia. I have also heard flavourart do some great ones but I have only tried sneaky drag and golden rollie which I liked. Mom n Pops RYO and Praze are also good.

I like Inawera's Perique Black and F'Art's King Arthur's Pipe. Both at 3-4%. For blending I use F'Art's RY4.
Perfumer's Apprentice do a Cubano which I used to really like but I'm not vaping it when I have plenty of the above two.
Dark Rolled from F'Art is also a nice rollie taste which stands alone and blends well.
Want me to send you one of each Diche to try out?

Or,try creating your own?

Whole Leaf Tobacco Only - Home page

£13 gets you 100g of tobacco leaf(5 x 20 g)& they have so many types of tobacco that it's hard choosing.Making into concentrates is so simple a child could do it(if the law allowed children to handle tobacco :D )

I think I'm just going to have to pick something and order it, but FlavourArt seems to be the way to go. Thanks for the offer :)

Do you find nic free samples need steeping? Or just the finished product?
Nic free? I have no experience of that at all.

Personally, unless I'm making 50ml+ I add flavourings to premixed bases. That includes making 5ml samples. I expect the flavouring to take time to infuse and mature into the diluents even if they've been premixed. I understand that nicotine creates its own reaction to flavourings, that flavours may then change, so I would see little point in sampling without nic. The pennies saved would not be a priority for me.

Making a 5ml sample using my 60VG 40PG 6mg base with 5% flavour would use 0.42ml nicotine which cost me £0.05/ml last time I bought it ... but if it was the normal going rate that's 10p/ml so the 5ml tester would involve 4p of nic. I wouldn't bother saving 4p if it created a nagging doubt that the flavour might then change from the sample, it kind of defeats my purpose.

I was very sceptical about steeping and maturation when I starting mixing way, way back in August (!!) but in that time I have learned about being patient because a flavour can change from bleurgh to eminently vapable in 7, 14 or 21 days of just being left alone. IME tobaccos are high up on that list. Fruits are at the bottom, ready to go in 24 hours.

But you know all this Diche ... so if you feel you can make a flavour judgement before maturation, that's your call, it's your vape. There are flavours that won't improve after all ... :vom:
