Who makes the best tobacco concentrates?

I have a good understanding of the processes of creating juice from preblended concentrates like Red Astaire, but these are my first attempts at flavour creation. I'm starting the process by sampling the individual base flavours at a standard concentration 0%nic. The theory is that I will get an idea how strong the flavour is, what might mix well with it and what it might bring to a finished juice. This has so far been working quite well, but I have hit a stumbling block with tobacco flavours. I have some inawera ones and they don't seem to taste of anything very much at all. I'm trying to figure out if it is the flavours (hence asking about brands) or my method :)

I've got a bottle of perique concentrate that adds a nasty kind of bitterness to juices, the various DIY concentrates of tobacco have turned out nice after 24 hours, but the few mixes of tobacco I did have had varied results. The aniseed + tobacco is very very nice (similar to aniseed ball sweets ) with no more than an hour to settle the few larger lumps of tobacco leaf that sieving missed. The butterscotch is in the steeping drawer as straight from mixing it had a taste like bile /vomit in the back of my throat though smells pleasant. The licorice + tobacco is another nice fruity fresh licorice stick taste. The next juice I'm going to try is tobacco + maple, and see what else might go with these 2.

Good luck with the process.
Other than RY4 I don't mix tobaccos with other flavours, they're standalone flavours for me.
FlavourArt do a whole range of blending tobaccos though, like Cowboy and Seven Leaves and John puts up useful information about their tastes. If only all concentrate suppliers did that ...

Just finished mixing...

Aged Burley
Maple
Coconut

Good shake, tastes nice,no harshness, fruity "something" with no sign of the coconut(only used 3%)unless I vape it on the Plume Veil, where it has instantly become my (rest of the) ADV juice. :D

I'm reall intrigued and jealous now ... you're onto something here, I can feel it. I need to give this a go, Chegs ... but what's the chance of a tester before I invest in all those leaves? :please:

Depending on how quickly you can get me your address will depend on how much of a chance you have of being sent a 10 ml bottle (state mg) or an envelope of anthrax :D

As the title suggests I'm interested in who is known for their tobacco concentrates, I know Inawera is known for fruit etc etc, but which flavourist makes good tobaccos?

...as an ex O Holborn roller I have tried quite a few 'tobacco types'. The best I've found is Wera Garden 'Absolute Oriental' from LTecigs, made from tobacco leaf seemingly, I keep returning for more !
Absolute Oriental Flavour
They have a good variety of tobacco, including Inawera's.

The link posted to the tobacco leaf site has some Semi Oriental tobacco that I'm still undecided on whether I like it on its own or mixed with something else.On its own,it has a kind of very mild chilli sort of warmth to the taste that turns fruity so the entire collection of tobacco based juices are presently sat in the very back of the drawer waiting for me to try each again after a long steep. In fact,it's so long since I tasted any of these that I've forgotten wtf they tasted of so the comment about chilli might just be my imagination (or total BS,you choose) :P
