wick and wire questions

getting an igol and igow...
what size wire and wick would you recommend?
going on nemesis or chi you
wont be going sub ohm...

want to order asap from a good uk vendor

personally id go for 1.8 ohm pre made wires from rob at stealthvape....each coil will be consistent and give you a very good vape....but thats my personal opinion due to being, how shall we say, piss poor at coiling

For drippers, I'd go microcoil and cotton every time: 0.25 or 0.3mm Kanthal. Thicker wire gives lower resistance per wrap, so for a given resistance

thicker wire -> more wraps -> more coil/wick surface area - > more vapour.

Maybe try ribbon wire, I haven't done that in a dripper yet, though.

remnant has a very good point about microcoils....this makes it so much easier to change the wick,dry burn the coil and ten re wick and your off again...i will be going down this road at some point but at the mo i use the pre mades in my diver and i never have issue with them

im gonna get some 1.5's to try...if you have a vv/vw then could get 2.2 to try and see what you think....2.2 may be touch weedy on a mech or maybe just right...its all in the coil so i would also get some diff kanthal so all options are available to you

I would still need to make the coils myself though with both of those correct?

yep but with pre made the ohms are consistent whereas using normal kanthal then its all dependant on wraps inc the legs etc
