Wild strawberry from Pastry Island

I've been trying to use this flavouring today, and now my fingers are all covered in red stains and the juices I've mixed have all tasted very strange. I am curious to know if anyone has tried this before and their verdict? I've used other strawberry flavours from other suppliers, these have needed quite a lot of flavour added, but all tasted okay from the mixing bowl and never have they contained enough dye to turn stainless steel to a pink tinge.

I'll not use it again until I get some feedback on whether dyes in flavourings are safe for vaping.

as a rule of thumb if it says (added colour) or (coloured) in brackets i tend to not use it as it has extra colour added just to make it look
good and that may be all well and good if you're cooking with it, but vaping it no thank you

It tastes really strange, dry(or dries out my mouth)is about the only word I can think of, it reminds me of the taste of a skin from other fruits which isn't possible with strawberry as they don't actually have a skin. It is tough to put a description in words especially as taste is subjective. I'm actually thinking of binning it regardless of whether it's safe to vape as it doesn't taste fruity, even if I mix it with several other fruit flavours. I have a summer fruits mix that is very popular with friends I mix for, but they're not keen on it either if I use this wild strawberry.

Just compared the ingredients label for the wild strawberry with the pastry Island peach and they were identical.




















Until I spotted the added'colouring' so unless daughter wants to use it for milk shakes, it's heading for the landfill.
