Hi guys, I'm using the 0.4 ohm coils, I prime em properly, let em sit yet they're burning only after 1 day, what gives? I noticed the coil that was preinstalled in the tank, the 0.15 lasted me about 3 days before that was burned quite bad. What gives? Why do all my coils burn, I start at a low recommended wattage and build my way up to a decent wattage not too high every time yet they still burn. One thing to note is my device does read these coils at 0.36 idk if that makes a difference

You say a decent, not too high wattage but you don't specify exactly what wattage?

The 0.4 ohm will require a lower wattage because it will have a reduced airflow from the 0.15 ohm. The coil wattage recommendations will be written on the coil.

I start at the minimum recommended wattage which in this case is 40 W, I've even gone below that but I find most coils I use tend to burn up regardless. Idk if I'm super unlucky or if there's something I'm missing.

The gnome tank isnt vefy good imo.
I tried both of the coils supplied then archived it.
There is a rba deck for it but not tried it yet.
Its such a small tank it should have been scaled up.
It may suit a very light vaper or perhaps an mtl vaper mobing towards dtl.

Things that can affect the life of a stock coil.

1. The coil is defective.
2. The e-juice is too high VG.
3. The airflow is too low.
4. The power is too high.

Are you saying it's not very good for personal reasons or build quality etc? Every time I buy a tank I hear it's good from multiple sources until I try it and it works great at first then I encounter problems with shitty coils etc. Really getting fed up with vaping, I need a good, reliable tank that doesn't eat up too much juice and where it's coils actually last a few days. Either that or I'll have to start using rdtas

Of course, problem is with the baby beast tank anyway, bought 3 packs of 5 coils all authentic various ohms, airflow was wide open, wattage was again, decent not too high mot too low and I use 70 Vg for most of my juices. I have a feeling it's because I'm using cheaper, mid range mods i.e the coolfire ultra and the iKuu by eleaf. If it is the mods I'll happily invest in a more reliable expensive mod, I doubt it's the coils or juice tho

I honestly can't see it being the mods. Those mods are fine, mid-range mods. There will be minor differences between the stated and actual power being delivered but not enough to make a coil fail. Unfortunately some tanks and their associated coils are sometimes just not very good.

I have been slowly swapping over to RTAs, mainly because of the high cost of stock coils but with the added bonus of a much better vape.

Just not for me.
Id be asking too much from the tank and coils and probably burn them out like you.
