Hello all, just got a coolfire z50 kit, which has the zlide tank with the zenith coils. I primed the 1.2 coil which came with it and starting using it with 6mg 50/50 juice. I have used about a full tank of juice starting at 10w, but it starts to taste burnt at 11w with 1 hole open or 11.5 with 2 holes open. Surely the coil should be able to go to a higher wattage by now after using a full tank of juice? Any help would be much appreciated.

Have you used the juice before? Could be a serious coil gunker, yes juices that can ruin a coil in a few ml do indeed exist.

Also, I have heard of problems with the 1.2ohm coils, so you could just have a bad coil.

10 -10.5 watts is are far as I would take them coils.....prime your next one and start at 8.5 watts for the first good few puffs then increase gradually.
10 maybe 10.5 is maxing it out in my experience.

yes ive used the juice before with the endura t18ii, at full power and no problems, maybe a bad coil they gave me with the kit

I've had a few dud 1.2 coils especially the ones that they seem to supply with the tanks. I tend to switch them out for the 1.6 coil.

As low as that, there rated 10-14w , if i cant go any more than 10.5 think i will have to start using different coils

Im thinking of changing to 1.6, do you notice much difference
I find the 1.6 a slightly tighter draw but you can adjust the airflow to suit so that doesn't matter. For me I find the 1.6 gives better flavour and lasts longer.

14w is the absolute highest recommended setting, with I would imagine, maximum airflow to cool the coil.... it your are taking long pulls and not waiting for the wick to re-saturate that will do it too.

If you want to vape at higher power I'd recommend the 0.5 plexus, that's rated at 12-16w and seems to keep up with heavier vaping too.

If you want to longest life out of your coil, and this applies to any stock coil, then I would always recommend vaping at the lowest setting you can get away with, even if it's slightly below the recommended.
