100% VG mixing - advice needed

I only add VG to my liquids, Kandi Hed do VG based concetrates and nicotine base if you were really trying to get that max VG liquid a go. I find adding 10ml of flavouring + 2.5ml 72mg nic and then just fill the rest of 100ml with VG is a perfect balance for most flavourings.

Well, if you use PG it wouldn't be 100% juice...

I use 3ml of water from piratesvape, 2.5ml of nic, 10ml of pg flav, and the rest is VG.

If it's for a dripper you don't need to worry about thinning the juice. If it's for a tank then depending on wick holes etc you may need to thin it, there are 3 main thinners, PG, Vodka and Purified water. Purified water is NOT the same as distilled. Your best optionif you aren't intolerant is PG as it also improves flavour transport. I'd suggest using AG instead of purified water, it costs more but you won't have much trouble getting hold of it...

what is AG and where do I get it from?

thanks

Aqueous glycerin and it's just 10% (most common) water added to VG. So basically what you're trying to make yourself.

Piratesvape sell 1 litre for £8 or £4 for 500ml of Purified water. Or you should be able to get it from a local chemist. They will probably need to order it in special though and they only do 5L. This is why I just got it from Piratesvape.

That being said you won't need to dilute unless you have a tank which doesn't wick well with high VG.

If you're adding PG flavouring too then you are going to end up with a thinner mix anyway unless you use VG concentrates. In an 80VG mix you can add about 12% flavouring, 90VG about 2%. this is using PG nic though.

I started adding 10% water originally as I was struggling with my subtank mini wicking 80/20 undiluted, now Ive lost it this past weekend... I don't think I'll be adding water to my mixes anymore. It's just not necessary, and it would still dry hit anyway. I since perfected my wicking and coiling method in it and it was fine anyway.

calculators not working properly?

I used the Ejuice me up calc and its telling me to add 4ml's of PG?!
I am confused, am I doing something wrong here?

I also just updated to the latest version and its still giving me the same calculations.

Just below the Flavours list theres a pair of boxes to set the PG / VG Ratio, It's currently on 50/50, go for 90/10 or 80/20 for a first attempt, you can always twiddle your recipe later if the ratio doesnt agree with you, but TBH unless you are PG intolerant then an 80/20 ratio should give good results...

thanks for that! I missed that! Weird, cause I had entered 100% VG at the top.
I am glad that I did it right anyway as I used another calculator but that wasn't happy with what I was doing but my calculations worked out bang on the same with ejuice me up.
So to get the 90/10, I entered 10 in the target PG box as that is how much flavour I was adding which is in PG then entered 90 in the VG box, that sound right yeah?

Yeah, thats right, In theory that should give you Nic Base, VG and flavour with no other PG Required...

Just so you know, the 100% VG that you entered at the top is the carrier of the nicotine not the target VG % you finally want.

thanks for pointing that out! Luckily most of my mixes have been 50/50 so they got away with it but not my 70/30 , jeez! I just realised the top field is asking if the nicotine bottle is in VG or PG , damn!
