A few (possibly silly) questions, I would love some advice on please?

Hello All, I have only been vaping for 10 days but am already hooked!

May I please ask a few questions?

1. I started off with a De-Bang starter kit and have already got myself an Iclear 30 cartomiser. My first question is now my battery looks tiny in comparison, including exposed threads. Now I have heard about "Thread Spacers"? Are these universal to 510 fittings, and if so where may I purchase these from please?

2. I would like to upgrade my battery to a chunkier one which will run flush with the Iclear 30. Nothing too expensive and would love some suggestions please. As with the above a stockist in the UK would be amazing.

3. Last and not least, does it matter if my unit is stored horizontally or vertically? Maybe (another) silly question but I just am scared of flooding or damaging my unit.

Thank you so much in advance.

no such thing as a stupid question.

what you're after is called an eGo "plinth" that screws onto the eGo threading and makes a large atomiser on an eGo battery look better (though still very top heavy)

there is bundles of choice for larger stuff. For my money Innokin make the best budget priced VV/VW mods at present.

Check out the SVD or the MVP. The Vamo is also a good mod for the money as is the Sigelei ZMax if you get a good one.

3 depends on the atomiser you're using and whether or not you've put it together properly. Alll of them should be OK on their sides (i.e. 'normal ones' like a ProTank or a Davide of an iClear etc.) however a Genesis style atomiser will leak unless you keep it upright. If you've not quite put your atomiser together right, or if you have a duff one then int might leak. Upright is better.

Thank you Vapercaper, very much appreciated my friend. I will head over to the marketplace on here and have a nosey around for the batteries you have suggested. I have only been here a few minutes and the welcome/help and support is second to none.

Thank you again.

Sorry Vapercaper just re-read your post mate my atomiser (I think that's what its called?) is an iclear 30 (is this the right thing or have I completely not got a clue lol). Ive made sure all components that are threaded are tight and secure fella.

p.s Sorry for the double post.

Lee when your having a mooch have a look at vision spinner batteries- a great first step up giving u variable voltage here's a pic with a ego plinth on to give u an idea

Yes that's the right thing. 99 times out of 100 it won't leak. Murphys Law still applies to vaping though so the one time you're in a rush and don't quite put it together right you find out that it's turned your pocket into a giant nicotine patch.

There are 2 main components to an e-cig. The battery. (The bit that supplies power) and the "thing that screws on top that you put the e-liquid in".

Back in the day an atomiser was the name given to the actual heating coil and wick part that turns the liquid into a vapour. Since then atomiser is used as a generic catch all name for "the bit you screw on top" as well as several variations. Cartomiser (cartirdge combined with atomiser) Clearomiser (next step up from a cartomiser that is also see through) and several others. Basically anytime someone refers to <blank>-omiser, that's what they are talking about.

If anyone ever comes up with a good name for "the bit that screws on top that you put liquid in" they'll do all of us a favour :)
