Informative thread Tubs,so unless I have missed it which guage did you opt for,the 28?
I took all three...
I've use the 28 & 26 for single and dual coils both spaced and micro - although it seems better not to squeeze the wire with ceramic tweezers while it's glowing as you can get wraps fusing together, usually the outermost two. I've started to do it the old fashioned way of firing then a gentle squeeze as it cools like we used to do with metal tweezers. Tonight or tomorrow I'll use the 29ga to construct the infamous twisted microcoil as I really want to see how it behaves since it worked so well with nickel...
As a guide if you can build a coil with Kanthal the two thicker wires will do for just about everything - although the 26 might be more use for singles and the 28 for duals...
