Accurate Flavour Weight Measurements

You sound like you've been travelling the road for a fair while so, as I'm less than a month into my mixing journey, I feel a lot more reassured that I'm starting out the right way. In time I may well feel less need to note down everything but while I'm learning it's helping me try to make sure I'm going in the right direction and get a better result at the end of it.

I've just started vaping my first two properly steeped mixes and, for first attempts, I'm really please with them both. Now to consult my records and work out what improvements I want to try to hopefully get them even better.

Im weary, the road is long and not yellow, but I have a brain;)
Glad you are enjoying DIY, the other good thing about notes is I sometimes make up a mix from years ago...like really years ago....just for old times sake, which would have otherwise been lost/forgotten.

Sounds like a good idea to me, even if only to see how far I've come and if I'm really making things better or not.

I think I’m in a similar situation to you Marylin, in that I am early on in my mixing journey and still finding out what does and does not work. I’ve been using the e-liquid-recipes.com website to keep track of my stash and recipes, which has so far worked quite well. There are also lots of recipes shared by others but their quality does vary.

ELR is also where I found my first recipes from. As I've barely started, I'm just focusing on two recipes for now. I've bought around 25 different flavours and have been making up little 3ml tasters, without any nic, using 10% flavour and 75%VG base to get a feel for the different qualities of each flavour. By rights, I should really be using a rebuildable atty and changing the cotton each time but I don't want the bother and expense of having to do all that every time so I just use a bit of plain base mix after each test to vape the old flavour out of the cotton enough before I try the next flavour. Hopefully it will give me a reasonable idea of which flavours and brands I like best to get the nicest result at the end.

I'm very pleased with my Mint Choc Ice Cream though having tried my first proper batch so I'm about to mix a 120ml bottle which will be ready to vape in a couple of weeks.

Well done you! How do you find your recipe compares to what you could have bought in the shops? My initial attempts had me reaching for purchased liquids but as I’m progressing my liquids are becoming increasingly vapeable.
