Thanks again for your advice, much appreciated

And compare the competition. There are litterally hundreds of vendors in the UK now for E-Cig products and only a small portion of them meet Trading Standards, CHIP compliance, ECITA, ect "rules and regs", even a smaller amount are on the forums. On top of that, the numbers shrink even more to the longer standing vendors who provide top notch service and are among the forerunners for competition. If you start an ecig business and don't match up with some of the best all ready available, it is quite easy to have wasted your time and money.

PS Slow right now is probably the best advice considering were up for facing a ban in 2 months time, which will take effect in 2-3 years. We're all hoping it wont happen, but there is a huge possibility it will and if it does we lose all of the vendors in place all ready to stupid EU laws.

I'd also like to point out that this forum is geared mainly for consumers who use these products, and while a lot of our vendors are very kind and helpful, I am afraid I am not far off the path when I say, I think they might not be as forthcoming with detailing their trade secrets as much as you would like. Especially when the entire industry is facing a total shut down, it is an extremely competitive market.

Hi Kulrmestoopid, thanks for your reply, appreciate the help and advice :-)

Totally understand about other vendors not wanting to be too over-helpful and I suppose I dont blame them really

Hi Matt, if your thinking about becoming a vendor, please think about it and don't jump in at the deep end. The best advice I can give is research you products and research the forums. What are people selling, What are people reviewing, What do people want, Who supplies them and what is the best price I can offer them at? Also have a direction for the site. Do I want to go down the low tech road, high tech road, mixing road etc. Make no mistake, it is time consuming like any business. If you are in employment and want to do this as a sideline, have you the time to spare and what sort of service can you offer your customers. Unlike Ebay, in this market you have to be able to dispatch on a daily basis and provide full customer support. Finally, as KMS said, there are many, many vendors already out there. A handful are the biggies, the rest of us in reality are very small fishes in a very big pond!

Hi leisureliquids, could you clear your private messages if possible ?

Thanks very much :-)

Matt you don't say what part of the country you are from but it would be worth visiting local markets to see if there is a opportunity there.
