Thank you all for your replies. A friend has an ijoy captain pd270 but I gather they also have stacks of issues too? Just trying to find something similar in size to the alien but that actually lasts longer than 3 months

ive had my PD270 for nearly a year use it daily never skipped a beat, was given a smok xpriv brand new as a mate bought it but couldnt handle the rattly battery door, it died after 2 months,

Ive got a couple of the pd270's and they are very good but larger than the Alien.
There is a smaller version the pd1865 which is the same size as the Alien and can be picked up for around £25.
Ive also got one and not had any issues with all three.

Interesting thanks. Don't mind the size of the pd270 just googled issues with it and there seemed to be pages! Do you mind me asking how long you've had them?

Yes wish I'd known SMOK die regularly before forking out for a brand new one. Nevermind you live and learn! Interesting you've had your pd270 for a year with no issues Thanks.

Eleaf ikonn 220, sidebar firing and roughly the same size as the alien. Tough as old boots, only drawback is the screen is nigh on impossible to read in sunlight. Had mine for 18 months no issues.

Have a look at the innokin proton. Similar form, 235w, better board inside.
It's still about £65 with the tank in the uk but can be found cheaper from our Chinese vendors.

We all use ft quite regularly. (Personally about twice a week for three years, lol)

A bit of a saving. Always use the ukepack postage option if using ft. Often free and never more than a couple of quid and delivery is seven to ten days when marked in stock (can't remember the last time mine took longer than seven days from despatch).
Just an option.

As our most of us bud. Sorry I thought the link would explain. Ft is the abbreviation of fastech. A Chinese warehouse style company that stocks most vaping items.
We often order our items directly from Chinese sites that are reputable and can make huge savings on UK prices.
The downside is if you have an issue it can take a few weeks to sort as obviously there's some distance involved.
That said whenever I've had an issue (rarely) I've always received replacement or refund.
You will see other Chinese vendors in our vendor section like gearbest, 3f, health cabin, efun ect that all offer incredible deals.
