Hi all.
Can I ask your opinions on the build I've just put in my 22mm Tsunami.
Does it look a bit cramped ? Struggled to get the cotton in so that it wasn't touching the air tubes but it seems to vape ok.
Just wondered if I should have used 26 gauge instead of 24.

The 22mm was notorious for having a VERY cramped deck and being a pain in the arse for getting decent wicking down it.
No, using thinner wire doesnae help the fundamentally flawed design.
Makesa good Squonk atty tho'!!

More room in the 24mm.

Thanks for that.
I was thinking maybe I should get the 24mm.
Ordered a hadaly clone from gb yesterday so hoping that'll give a bit more room.

I think I may look through the endless list of rda's and find one with a big juice well and more room.

I like the tsunami and have generally been using dual 28gauge wire but fancied trying something different. It works ok but because of the wicking issue I'm getting seeping from the air slots.

Oh the joy of vaping [emoji23]

Thanks again

The 24mm is a really nice deck, worth a go. There's a certain amount of practice to get the wick settled right on these, I've found (although I've been using the 24mm). Yours looks perfectly ok though mate, and if its vaping well then keep on keeping on.
What's the ID of your coils? I ask because there seems to be quite a lot of cotton, might be worth keeping it a little more compact or using a little less?

Here's a Couple of shots of the 24, that extra 2mm makes a lot of difference. Coils looking pretty gnarly, apologies. 3mm ID, chunky looking gits that came with my limitless + (hate that tank, and the coils!).

3mm ID, 24gauge kanthal, 11 wraps each if I remember right, 0.5ohm.
Yeah, I think you are right. I may have over done the cotton :D

3mm is great in the 24, could push higher but like you say, bit cramped on 22mm!
I saw a thing a while back before I got the tsunami, was about wicking it (first rebuildabel for me so was researching). It advised kind of poking the wick down the front and working it back into position. Worst description ever, I know, but stops it getting bunched up. Works everytime for me.

Yes, I think I know what you mean. It does bunch when you just put it where it's supposed to go. I'll try what you suggest. Thanks.
I've got a Hadaly clone and a Kennedy clone on the way from China to try something different but I do like the tsunami. May have to get the 24

@mick brown - the Hadaly is a lovely wee thing on a squonker. Got 3.5mm ID 24g flattened nichrome in mine and ooh la la...
A Kennedy is also damned finest kind. The 24mm one I have fae fast tech worked out far better than the 24mm Tsunami, but horses for courses. Easier wicking and the airflow was just a bit better. Hell the top cap comes off easier so for a lazy old git it is fantastic.

As for your current dilemma, a wee bit of trimming on the wick so its more like a tail or wedge might work out for you.
Or, again, put it on a squonker....
