Anti-Vaping Propaganda – Are We Watching a Coordinated Attack? Let’s Talk About It

Lately, we’ve all been bombarded with aggressively pushed anti-vaping articles — especially on social media like Facebook and Instagram. Almost every day, a new “study” pops up, claiming that vaping is even worse than smoking.

Here are two of the latest examples circulating heavily right now:

Study claims vaping is ‘worse than cigarettes’ – LadBible

Another article pushing the ‘vaping is more dangerous than smoking’ narrative – LadBible

What’s interesting is how these articles are promoted — not just organically, but through heavy paid sponsorships. That’s not something independent research usually needs to do. This feels like a coordinated effort, and it smells a lot like Big Tobacco money.

The saddest part? It’s working. Public perception is shifting, and even massive platforms like Amazon are folding under the pressure. Just this week, I personally received an email from Amazon stating that all e-liquid and vape product sales are now banned on their platform — nicotine or not.

This is a dangerous game. Millions of former smokers rely on vaping as a harm reduction tool. By spreading fear and misinformation, they’re not protecting public health — they’re steering people back to the products that made Big Tobacco rich in the first place.

I wanted to open this up to the community because I know many of you have been vaping for years, following the science closely, and probably seeing the same trend.

What do you think is behind this recent wave of anti-vaping propaganda?

Do you think the vaping industry and community are doing enough to fight back?

And how do we, as vapers, protect our right to access these products?

Let’s get this discussion going — I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Unfortunately I don't think us as a community standing up to the government will make any difference. What I don't understand is they are sticking a tax on vaping so they are going to be making money from us just like they make money from cigarettes and alcohol but yet they pick on the safer option. Disposables either need to be banned or just sold by a vape shop rather than the local newsagents or supermarket. This would stop alot of young people being able to get there hands on them. The sad thing is, I know of a few people who run and own there own vape business and to survive they have to sell disposables even being dead against them.

Smokers know vaping better than smoking for a multitude of reasons , is vaping completely safe, probably not, but no one really knows for certain, I don't doubt that vaping makes some people ill, this forum is full of folks with a bad reaction to this or that.
We live in a world of litigation all these big companies will probably be fearing the unknown (ever been sold a vape by amazon) call vapeaclaim now you could be owed thousands.

It's no wonder public perception is/has shifted. For the uneducated you only have to look or listen to what's happening around the world at the number of counties that have banned vaping. Even our glorious country that led the world in promoting vaping as an effective and safer alternative to stop smoking is going against its word.

Unless you're an ex smoker who now vapes and can qualify the benefits, the rest of the population just follow what they see, read and hear. Surely vaping must be worse than smoking because so many countries have banned it. They dont ban smoking or drinking or or gambling ect ect ect so there must be truth that vaping is the killer everyone says it is.

As I've said, we know the lies being told and the corruption that takes place because its dear to our hearts, the non vapers around the world dont so blindly believe what they see and read.

Agree with what you're saying as it does seem a bit arse upwards. The disposable war I believe is smoke and dangers because we know it wont just stop at the banning of them. If people want to vape they will move onto cheap pods then they will come under the cosh and so on.

What I find unbelievable is that governments can quote blatant lies and use those as evidence to ban vaping yet we know and have truthful facts and figures about smoking, about drinking, about knife crime, about gambling....need I go on yet all these countries, including ours do buggar all about it.

Vaping is one of the only things I can think of that has saved thousands if not millions of lives that is constantly coming under the hammer for being deadly.

Hear hear 😁

I believe there is a coordinated attack, and that there is nothing we can do to fight it. The tobacco industry has loads of *our* money to spend, and they will do anything to protect their industry. As a former Texan, I can tell you that we all saw the same thing from the petroleum industry against electric cars. There are like 4 really rich oil dudes in Texas that fund most of the political campaigns there, and in the US in general. The vaping industry as a whole would have to have some very rich people behind us if we want to change anything. I consider myself very lucky to live in Spain right now. While Spain's politics are crazy as well, they can't hold a candle to the crazy that is the US. And generally here they just don't care what people do. Loads of people vape here, and smoke, and drink, and party, and, and.
