Lately, we’ve all been bombarded with aggressively pushed anti-vaping articles — especially on social media like Facebook and Instagram. Almost every day, a new “study” pops up, claiming that vaping is even worse than smoking.
Here are two of the latest examples circulating heavily right now:
• Study claims vaping is ‘worse than cigarettes’ – LadBible
• Another article pushing the ‘vaping is more dangerous than smoking’ narrative – LadBible
What’s interesting is how these articles are promoted — not just organically, but through heavy paid sponsorships. That’s not something independent research usually needs to do. This feels like a coordinated effort, and it smells a lot like Big Tobacco money.
The saddest part? It’s working. Public perception is shifting, and even massive platforms like Amazon are folding under the pressure. Just this week, I personally received an email from Amazon stating that all e-liquid and vape product sales are now banned on their platform — nicotine or not.
This is a dangerous game. Millions of former smokers rely on vaping as a harm reduction tool. By spreading fear and misinformation, they’re not protecting public health — they’re steering people back to the products that made Big Tobacco rich in the first place.
I wanted to open this up to the community because I know many of you have been vaping for years, following the science closely, and probably seeing the same trend.
What do you think is behind this recent wave of anti-vaping propaganda?
Do you think the vaping industry and community are doing enough to fight back?
And how do we, as vapers, protect our right to access these products?
Let’s get this discussion going — I’d love to hear your thoughts.
