Anyone using El Diablo one shots?

I bought some Passion Bomb one shots, mixing it 50/50 at 11% flavouring. I tried it the day after mixing, and there’s not much flavour there, and it’s a very harsh vape. The PG, VG and nic were all used at the same time to mix another unrelated juice, which while 60% PG, is not harsh - which means the harshness is coming from the one shot. It tastes like the flavour isn’t strong enough…. yet if I use more, it’s only going to be harsher :hmm: I didn’t think fruits really needed a steep, but maybe it does? Anyone familiar with these one shots, or able to advise please?

Looking at the flavour profile it could be quite citrus forward.
If you're not used to citrus vapes it could be the citrus kick hitting the back of the throat and feeling a little overpowering?

Hhmmm… it’s been a while since I’ve had any citrusy liquid, that’s true, but I don’t remember having any ‘shit, that’s harsh!’ reactions to it before :hmm: I’ve never used the one shot though, only the 10ml TPD bottles, so I don’t know what the right % is to recreate them. Maybe I should try a lower percentage or try it again after a week in the cupboard. Does the sharpness of citrusy flavours benefit from a steep, do you think? I initially thought my nic had gone bad, but had used it in another (non-citrus) liquid at the same time, and that was fine :19:

TBH I don't know and am just speculating as a matter of process of elimination.
What about it being not properly mixed/blended yet and the chances of nic hot spotting.
You say you tried it the day after mixing?
Could it be that it's not blended up enough and a higher nic concentration has made it's way into the first test tank.

I've only used one of their one shots. It was Calavera Catrina and the suggested mix % was 20. I actually felt that the flavour was a little bit overpowering, which is rare for me as I usually have to mix liquids stronger than recommended.

It’s possible, although I think your first thought about the citrusy flavours is more likely. I’m usually pretty diligent about making sure the nic is well mixed in, and shaking the nic bottle before adding it too. I have been under the weather though, I might have done that with the other bottles I mixed, but slipped up with the Passion Bomb mix :hmm:

I normally mix passion bomb at 15 or 16 percent

Thanks - on the El Diablo website, they suggested 10-12%, so I started at 11%. When I tried it, I felt like the flavour wasn’t there, so I need to go a bit higher, I was thinking around 15%. Can I ask you, are you mixing it 50/50 VG/PG? And do you vape it quite soon after mixing, or do you give it a bit of time for the citrus notes to mellow out?

I’m trying to get it roughly the same as the 10ml 50/50 bottles. I think I need to scratch that mix and start over :25:

yes 50/50 I normally vape straight away but 24 hours steep makes it much better
