Don't want to sound like an antagonistic git here, but...
You CANNOT cause problems by using a charger with a high amp rating!
Amps are "drawn" by your device, NOT "pushed" by the charger. Simply put, it is your mod that dictates how many amps it needs whilst on charge.
You are far better off using a high amp charger that can handle the requested load than risk burning out the charger because it isn't up to the job of supplying the power needed.
Having said that, your mod shouldn't be getting that hot. But the charger shouldn't be the problem unless it's kicking out more volts than it's meant to.
